Do you ever think to yourself "I've got to remember this!" and then completely forget what you are remembering? Yesterday after a great morning of Lido breakfast, Ridgeview Fellowship and teaching and time with my boy, Troy & I went off to Home Depot, Michaels & Walmart in search for the perfect paint, fabric and accessories for some chairs we decided to reupholster. In Home Depot, walking through the paint section, a HUGE man...likely 280 pounds with a bald head walked by on the opposite side of the aisle than me, and as soon as he passed me, abruptly turned around and said "EXCUSE ME? DID YOU JUST TOUCH MY ASS?" It was something directly out of a Seinfeld episode...I looked at his face for a touch of joke...but saw no smile..."Uh...no...?" I responded...and he turned and walked away...weird. I don't ever want to forget that, because it was hilarious.
Or on Saturday when I was telling Troy about the time I was in a parking lot driving with Chelsea about a week after I got my car, and I was backing up really fast and smashed into a pole...as I am telling Troy this story, instead of "backing up" I said "barking up" and couldn't get my mind to recognize this...like a similar experience in a car with some gum...and trying to place it in the "general vicinity" of the garbage. Or the time when I said "Sink Theriously" when trying to talk to Troy one time...perhaps some kind of disagreement which was obviously lost after I'd said that...what's wrong with me?
Ahhhh....times are fun. I'm totally completely in love...
Anyway the reno's on the chairs was really fun, and both of us are so proud of our accomplishments although we are not completely finished...we work well as a team. Its fun. I love my boy.
I should go...I wanted to post some memories. Have a good day all and please send up a prayer for Tom, Lise, Maggie, Ainsley, Faith & Naomi Daumler. They have just found out that the water filtration system that they have been looking forward to instead of costing $500 Canadian will cost $1200 Canadian and they don't have the money.
God Bless,
S

YES! I love the "general vicinity" story! You know it's my favorite, eh!? Good times...
Friesen, you crack me up. That's one of the reasons why I love you. And because you like to play games with me (not mind games, but Skip-Bo).
