There is a bunny that lives in the parking lot beside my office....I love to see it hopping all around! :) Its funny...I love bunnies...which reminds me. One time, I convinced Kevin Thomas to give me a baby bunny...I saved it from the snake he was feeding it to. Anyway, the bunny, we figured was about 2 days old or so, and didn't even have its eyes open yet. I named him Peter Rabbit...not Peter the Rabbit....but "Peter Rabbit". I made a comfy bed for him in a shoebox and lined it with baby blankets, I got up hourly throughout the night to feed it goats milk from a bottle, and tried to keep him warm with a hot pack...after about 5 days he started to learn to hop....but still didn't have his eyes open...once when cleaning up his box, I had put him on my desk, and he hopped right off...onto the floor...that's got to be a long fall for a baby bunny (remember, this bunny was the size of ummmm....he'd fit in the palm of your hand only...a small rodent or something...GROSS!...anyway). Well one night I let another friend babysat, and that night Peter Rabbit died...I cried. Poor bunny...
Anyway, my intention was not to write about Peter Rabbit today. So for 4 years I gave Chelsea the same Christmas card. I'm not sure if I've told her yet, but she'll know now for sure. In 2000 I gave her a Christmas card, wrote some endearing words on it and attached it to her present. Since we lived together, it was easy to steal this card (apparently I like to steal from Chelsea) and save it until the next year. For 4 years, I gave her the exact card...same message...and she never noticed! Mmmm...I love Chelsea...every year she loved my card and said I was so thoughtful...tehe....not really! :)
Troy doesn't know how to tie up his shoe laces. He bends down to tie them about 6 times a day. Maybe I should keep a log sheet...does anyone have any tips...BESIDES DOUBLE KNOTTING which apparently he's opposed to, cause I've brought it up several times... :)
I think that's all from me today...

For the record, I know how to tie my shoes. It's the dumb laces on these shoes that won't stay tied up. Yes, I blame the laces. And as far as double-knotting goes, that means it would take me 2 hours to get my shoes off (1 hour per foot), as I am such an excellent double-knotter that it would be nearly impossible to extricate my feet from their leather prisons.
Nicely put Bierman, however, I'm sure you learned to tie your cute little shoes at a very young age...and I'm sure, knowing your Mom, she didn't teach you to tie them up wrong...however if one of your brothers taught you...I wouldn't be surprised if they taught you wrong, just so that every time they saw you lean down to tie up your shoe laces again...they could get a laugh at your expense....that's funny and hope its what actually happened here.
Now that you mention it, I'm not sure where I learned to tie my shoes. In kindergarten I got an F in shoe-tying and some girl (who obviously thought I was pretty cute) ended up tying my shoes for me. Wasn't that nice of her.
But irregardless of where I learned to tie my shoes, none of my other shoes come untied. Just that one pair. So again, I blame the laces.
Ok I surrender...if its only those ones, I'll deal with it. I don't mind when you tie your shoes anyway, I just like to tease & play...
I remember Peter Rabbit. Your nurturing side really began to show while you were caring for that little bunny. In regards to the Christmas card, I guess I can be like a grandma in that way. I just read the card and think, oh for heaven's sake...how sweet and completely thoughtful!
