So I've been off work for the better part of this week, and its been terrible. Its been the nicest week of the summer (well its looked it - I wouldn't really know, I haven't been outside) and I've been flat out on my back. It has only reinforced how much I hate being idle. I know there are people who love it. Love to lay around, and read, and think, and who knows what they do. I've never found much enjoyment with being idle. I'm always doing at least 2 things at once. Not this week though.
I've gotten a lot of sleep, and my back feels a lot better, no longer is it a chore to walk to the kitchen from my bedroom, but, I don't feel yet like I'm back to my old self yet.
So our neighbors are putting their house up for sale, which is a shame, because they are great neighbors. Such is life I suppose. I hope we never have to move from here, we love this house.
Troy is trying to write the winning song, for the CBC Hockey Night in Canada theme. He's quite a talented songwriter, and he would love to make a career at it. Maybe this will be his road to stardom. I can't wait to hear the finished product.
I have been spending a lot of time playing with my Nintendo DS this week. I have 4 games, SimCity, which is fun, but I have seemed to be stuck in a rut in that game. Then there's Nintendogs, and I love my cute little puppy Luvlee, but she is very had at learning tricks...that and I'm not sure how to teach her them. Then I have Brain Age 2 which is fun, but you can only do so much before you're too smart for your own good :). Troy went out yesterday and came home with a new game for me...Call of Duty 4 - which is super fun, and hard. I love it. I have such an amazing husband.
And with that, I'm done.

Back At It Again
It has been ages since I've sat down to blog anything current, and so as I lay around with little else to do, I will catch anyone who reads this, up to speed in the life of Shara.
We got back to Canada after our European Vacation May 10th. I had been discovering a sudden blurring of the vision in my right eye, which was irritated upon my return to work. My colleague purchased me a new monitor, and did not set the resolution correctly, but with me not knowing this, the pain I experienced the first day back to work scared me.
I immediately made an appointment to see my doctor. He was concerned, and referred me to a specialist, and within one hour, I was in to see him. He said the back of my eye was definitely swollen and agitated and he said his concern would be that this could be "jfhuenxlthbTUMORufhsoelh" The only word I could discern was Tumor, and left quite chaken. This specialist referred me to a Neru-Opthamologist, as well as for an MRI. The MRI I waited 6 weeks for, and to see the N-O I waited 10 weeks. In my consult with him he showed me the MRI of my head which was super cool. He also said that I definitely don't have a tumor, but he was concerned that I had Benign Inter-Cranial Pressure. He said to determine this, he would have to do a Lumbar Puncture.
I had that procedure done yesterday. I have seen this procedure done on the TV show "House" many times, and so was a bit terrified. However the procedure was almost painless, and the results were that I have a borderline case of it, which the doctor won't treat at this time. Anyways. After several hours the freezing in my back wore off, and my back has hurt ever since then horribly! I am finding it difficult to stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I hope this will figure itself out soon.
I suppose I'll be getting a pair of spectacles, and I'll see the N-O again in September. Either way, I'm not worried.
Besides that theatrical adventure, there's not much going on around here. Stampede was last week, and we went a few times and it was fun. Its been super stormy in Calgary lately, which I love. And its not been very hot, which I also love.
Anyways, I'll try to post more often now that I've caught up.
