Blogger hates me

I think Blogger hates me. A couple weeks ago, I was certain I'd posted something on Crystal's blog. No such luck...somehow it didn't work. Then today, I tried to post something to Craig's blog...same deal. Didn't work...um...weird. I thought they were fool proof. Oh well. No special little notes for them I guess. Also, I've tried posting a few times lately, only to find out the Blogger is mysteriously down, or something weird. Oh well.

I'm hungry and forgot to take anything out of the freezer for dinner. OOps. Bad wife. I guess we'll have to go out for dinner, or eat carrots and rice. Mmmmm...carrots and rice.

We get to babysit for our adorable nieces on Saturday. I'm excited. (Eden to left, and Vienna bottom). Aren't they precious?Mmmm...

Nothing overly exciting in our lives at this point...we created our Operation Christmas Child Boxes on Tuesday. It was a blast. What a fun project. Check out the link if you like to donate things (especially for Christmas). Its so heartwarming to know that you are helping someone.

Anyway...I'll try to think up something exciting. I'm too hungry right now.

The Epidemic in my World

It has been becoming more and more aware the the epidemic in my world is Cancer. I do not have cancer, but I have had so many people around me lately that have gotten cancer, or know someone who has cancer...it freaks me out. Do we spend enough time or money researching this horrible disease and finding any way possible to avoid it?

Recently I found out that one of my loved ones is being tested for Leukemia. Then today, I heard from a friend who I have not spoken with in nearly 6 months, and he told me that he was diagnosed in December with terminal cancer. Dispite all odds, (it was 100% positive that he had between 6-12 months to live) he is now in remission, after undergoing some extenive treatment. Then I was talking to my Dad today (my step-mom was diagnosed in September of 2005 with Breast Cancer, and is also now in remission) and a man in my Step-Mom's suppost group went back into the hospital today...the outcome for him is expected to be fatal. And likely very shortly. Apparently my step-mom was talking to him today, and expects this to be the last conversation. I guess this man was telling her that he was so tired of fighting, and the pain was so bad... then Chelsea's Dad lost his battle with Cancer this past summer....as did Troys Uncle Lee. I am depressed today with how this disease has taken hold of this world. How awful.

I'm kinda depressed about this today.

WOW

Cirque…wow, it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I went, not knowing what to expect…but I sat for most of the show with my jaw hanging in my lap…or my hand grasping Troy’s hand hardly breathing. It was incredible. I would like to watch that forever. I left thinking the human body was gorgeous…I left wanting to be an acrobat.

The Stones concert, also incredibly amazing. Mik Jagger was running all over the stage…I was thoroughly impressed. How old is that guy anyway? It was a great concert, I was dancing the night away with half of Regina. The long road-trip was also so enjoyable. The ride home Troy and I had long chats. It is so good to be married to my best friend.

Life is still a whirlwind. Tonight we are having a home night…dinner…and lounging. Should be fun. We have been so busy, there has been no time for that.

I need to get back to work now.

The LONG Road-trip

I know Tasha & Jason have a LONG roadtrip this weekend too...ours is 9 1/2 hours each way. BOO. It'll be worth it, but that's a LONG time. Good thing we have loads of entertainment. We had an ipod adaptor installed into our car Thursday so we have loads of tunes. We also have a portable DVD player, and bought an adaptor so that we can hear the sound through the speakers in the car. That way the person driving doesn't have to have headphones on cause its so quiet. So we like to watch movies while driving...or rather the person not doing the driving does.

Troy is loading up the car right now, and we're waiting on our soon to be friend Jenn (we've only met her once, so I'm not sure she's a friend just yet, but I'm sure by the time the weekend is over, she will be) and then we're on our way. I'm sleepy, but kinda excited!

In case you've forgotten, we are going to Regina to see the ROLLING STONES! How cool. I think it will be an event we'll remember for a long time. I'm excited about it. I'll try to take lots of pictures....not sure where our seats are, but eitherway.

I better get ready to go. :)

You Know The One

I went to Centre Street Church last night for their 6 o'clock service. It was really enjoyable. The girl sitting infront of me was worth mentioning. She was quite tall, had a big mane of dark curly hair, with a section of it tied up. She had glasses, no make-up and BIG eyes. I'm sure she is a lovely girl. My first impression was that she doesn't take very good care of herself, and doesn't have a great fashion sense. You know the type of person that when you're talking to them, they are scaning the room seeming to be looking for someone? The person in the group easily distracted by everything? The entire service, this girl seemed to be perhaps looking for someone...maybe she was looking for a friend? Maybe a handsome man...I don't know, but she didn't stop looking. She sat by herself. Anyway as the service was ending, a very pretty girl came up and said hello to her. Once again, this girl seemed like she couldn't care less for the attention and continued looking around for someone else...how strange. Made me think about God....and how most often in my life, I've been frustrated looking for God...trying to see glimpses of his truth. And perhaps he was standing right infront of me, saying..."hello!" and I couldn't care less.

Anyway.

She was interesting anyway. Pastor Henry spoke of Generosity. And the impact that has on the world...and on us. It was a fantastic message. I love listening to that man. He is a celebrity to me...I fear if I had the opportinty to be in the same space as him, that I would clam up, and my tongue would stick to the roof of my mouth. He seems to have such a holy presence around him, and he seems so wise. I enjoy his teaching.

Chelsea's baby shower was fantastic! So fun! Probably 15-20 people came, and she had a ton of presents which was fantastic! What a great time!

I slept in until 10am this morning. That is rare for me, but so enjoyable. I feel so frefreshed this morning.

My husband is coming home in a few minutes, and I'm going to go make him some pizza.

Chelsea's baby Shower

I am in the midst of getting ready for Chelsea's baby shower in countdown...5 hours, 8 minutes. I've been baking, and cleaning all morning. Its been fun. I hard time sleeping cause I was so excited! I think it will be a fun time!

Last night we went to the movies (Jackass) and out to eat. Troy took me on a date. And then this morning after his groceries run, he brought me flowers. He's so sweet! :) I love him! The movie...which I promised Troy we'd never tell other people we went to see...was funny at times, and crude at times, and just un-watchable at others. It was enjoyable...but I wouldn't necessarily reccomend it...and just so no one thinks we are horrible people for supporting this movie...we didn't pay for the tickets. Someone gave me a couple movie passes! So SHAME ON THEM!!! for supporting this movie.

Anyway, I'm procrastinating. I should get going.

Bierbabies

We went to visit Darren & Nicky along with Vienna and Eden yesterday. What a blast! How fun it is to play with little girls! Eden is growing into such a cute little girl, and is starting to talk...or continuing rather. Its quite cute to see her come up with new words. We had a blast with them yesterday, tossing them into the air, tickling them, kissing them. It was fun.

The Amazing Race...I enjoyed it quite a lot last night! I have picked a favorite team. Duke & Lauern from Rhode Island. They were so great last night! :) GO TEAM! (They came in 2nd).

I really enjoyed the race last night!

I'm meeting Chels for breakfast, gotta go!

Snow

Well this morning as I drove to work it happened. The white little demons were back. It started snowing as I entered the intersection of Crowchild Trail and 24th St or Ave...whichever it is…and I did a little audible scream. I’m really not impressed. Although, maybe this year, I’ll get out to the mountains to do some snowboarding. That kind of makes me excited. I like snowboarding a lot. It’s a blast. I could go on Mondays on my day off…I think I may try that a few times this year. That’d be good.

I got to drive to work in the Jetta today. Mmmmm…warm tooshie. I had my seat heater cranked up to 5 (which I think you could cook an egg on if you tried). It was wonderful.

I talked to my Mom today, and she has to go get her dog put down. Her dog has gotten really sick over the past couple weeks, and its time for him to go to sleep. I’m very sad for her.

I watched Survivor the other day. I gave in…but it was the same as every other survivor before it…except of course for the controversial way the tribes were divided. Who cares. They’re all people. I think likely, most of us don’t even see a race anymore….at least I don’t think I do. I don’t think I’ll get sucked into that reality tv…I will however watch the AMAZING RACE!!! Which I believe starts on Sunday, along with CSI. I think those will be my 2 shows of choice this season.

My hockey league starts again in 2 weeks. I believe my team finished 6th. I’m excited. Except not about playing the orange team. Those guys are evil.

Ok, well this is becoming the way I am making this horribly slow day pass. I know someone will walk in at 2:55pm today. I just feel it. Anyway, am going home to make my husband his favorite…lemon meringue pie.

Rolling Stones

So Troy & I are going to see the Rolling Stones in Regina over Thanksgiving. Our dear friend Darin Wilson who happens to be a BIG celebrity and work on the television show Corner Gas , has invited us to come and visit him in Regina...and take in a Stones Concert. Now I can't say I'm especially a fan of the Stones...I've heard of them...but I don't know that I could ever identify a song of theirs. I guess I'll start having to do some research.

IN other news...today was a VERY frustrating day at work. The major objective of my job is to quote and write new insurance policies. Today I had 2 gentlemen, whom by first appearance, seemed quite smart and such. Anyway, both of whom I'd quoted in the past, and both came in to write up the insurance policy I had quoted for them. Well...the first elderly gentleman, upon his return home (after writing 2 policies in my office, and spending about 1 hour with me), called to tell me his current insurance policy was giving him about double the coverage for the same price, and that he'd like to cancel the policy he just wrote with me. Lovely. Second of all...another gentleman came in and did the exact same thing! That sort of thing BUGS THE HECK OUT OF ME! Like...do your research. Jeepers. Anyway.

I am going to go have a nap.

Freezing and Sleepy

Two of my least favorite things...being cold, and being tired. That's how I feel today. Yesterday I sat in my car and glared as I thought I saw little white balls of yuck plopping themselves on my car...all hairy and demonish. I think my eyes were playing tricks on me...we aren't supposed to get snow until tomorrow...but I glared at them all the same.

I love my flip flops...and have great pride in saying the only times I'd put my feet into socks in the last 6 months is when I've gone to the gym, or played floor hockey. I feel confident saying I hate socks...and I'm sad that sock season is coming back.

I'm also not very happy that my car starter won't work again until we spent probably about $500 to fix the necessary things on my car to get it working. That makes me want to stay in my home forever. I hate to be cold. And my beloved husband, bless his heart...has seat warmers in his car. Hmmm...maybe I can convince him to switch cars with me for the winter.

Onto a separate topic...I'm glad this blog has become more of a space for ranting. I like ranting. its fun. I love to play floor hockey, but I HATE to play floor hockey against the orange team. I actually lothe them. Last game, one girl...cross-checked me from behind into a wall. Yesterday it was bashing my legs with her stick...I think she also had the rest of her team ganging up against me....cause a different girl was attacking me, and jumped on my foot...and told me "watch it!" (I wonder...was that a threat or...?" (I told her to stop jumping on my feet...and to take it easy). Not only that, but I had slap shots aimed at me several times...and several times they hit me...I can't wait till I'm really good at floor hockey and then I can trip those guys, and smash them and all kinds of fun things...then I can chuckle to myself. Unfortunately (or fortunately) this is apparently a "non-contact" sport...however I received a lot of contact last night. I'm Angry.

What else...Burr...I'm still cold.

I think that's all I've got for today. :)

Phone Etiquette

Yesterday I answered a phone call at work, because the receptionist was on her lunch break. The conversation went like this.

"Good Afternoon (name of company where I work)"
"I'd like to speak with Jill"
"I'm sorry Jill is on another line at the moment, may I put you through to her voicemail?"
"I need to speak with her"
"I understand that but she is unavailable, do you have a number where she could call you back?"
"I'm at work"
"Ok, can you be contacted at work?"
"I might be busy"
"Ok, well I'm not sure what to tell you, because she is unavailable, and may be quite some time on the phone. Would you like to hold for her?"
"Ok, but I don't want to hold for too long. I need to speak with her."
"Alright sir, I can understand that, but I certainly can't say how long you'll be holding for, because there is no way of knowing how long she will be on the phone. I'll check back with you in a few minutes to see if you'd like to continue holding."
(put phone on hold)

This is completely unacceptable phone etiquette. It has been coming to my attention more and more lately that there are a lot of people on this planet who don't have any people skills, common sence, or common courtesty. It infuriates me. I realize I should calm down about it, and just take it in stride...but it annoys me to no end.

On another note, I had a thrilling conversation with my brother Josh last night. It was great fun, and I got to know all about his incredibly insane neighbor. Josh I wish you'd post that letter that he wrote you, and that you wrote him somewhere on the internet I could link to. That'd be a great idea!

Anyway, I'm going to make myself some cream of wheat for breakfast and get on my way to work.

**the Motorcycle woke me up again this morning, leaving me trying to think of where I could buy a paintball gun.**

FYI

If you live in a down town centre...please continue reading this. I fear a large number (not all) of people who live downtown have the wrong impression.

Just because you live in a trendy downtown neighborhood...or perhaps its not even trendy...perhaps its just downtown, and there are homeless people picking through your garbage...people at restaurants and bars almost all night, just down the street from you. Unless you have a bar license, this does not give you the right to have a bar in your own home.

Because you live downtown, this does not give you the right to turn your bass up and crank your music just below the place where your eardrums would burst. In case you don't have the capacity to jam it into your small head, I'll enlighten you... there are other people around...possibly who have the unique "priviledge" of living beside you...who are not interested in the horrible Mexican techno you love. Or perhaps you feel like because you live downtown you can have parties with people yelling and screaming until 3am...music blaring (of course bass again). No...you have been mislead...perhaps the mexican music has given you the wrong impression. Maybe you're the one who drives down the street on that horrible motorcycle with the very annoying exhaust that is louder than my normal YELLING voice in my home 3 stories up. I have been grossly close to getting a paint ball gun to remedy you...so I'd reccomend you find another street.

In closing...when you live in a building downtown, please do the rest of the human race a favor..and keep your music, tv & parties to a dull roar. Keep your vehicles to a dull roar...and don't honk your dumb ass horn outside at 6am cause you are waiting for someone and they are a bit late. Use your CELL PHONE and call them. The rest of the neighborhood is not late.

I'm infuriated at the people in this stupid neighborhood.

Yeah Janelle!!!

Ok so Janelle recovered last night, and is NO LONGER GOING HOME!!! How exciting. Whether she is able to rise above the evil Dr, and is buddy Boogie...I guess we'll find out in the next couple weeks... but I'm thrilled for now that she's staying in the home, and hopefully Janelle has learned her lesson to use those around her, and then stab them in the back...and be friends with the trustworthy Chicken George...(I think)...that's what I hope for her. Watching BB is getting nerve wracking...ugh.

Busy, and tired

Have been so delinquent in posting. Perhaps in the winter when there isn't so much busyness...(hopefully), I'll write more. Have been busy...had my friend Lexi here last weekend...babysat the Bier-babies one weekend, which was a blast! Hung out with Darren & Nicky tonight, had dinner with Chelsea and Andrew...its been nutso.

I hope life slows down. We've decided to go back East for Christmas/New Years, and have purchased our plane tickets, so that'll be fun. I think we're thinking baout spending New Years Eve in Manhattan. That would be quite the experience I think! Anyway. I'm EXHAUSTED!

I love BIG BROTHER!

Emma's Wedding

<-------First Dance, Mr. & Mrs. Matthew Love

The VERY cute HOT couple... Emma & Matt. I know, I know, I took HORRIBLE pictures...and I wish I had some better ones, because I love Emma, and would LOVE to have some great pictures of her wedding...but I was too excited...and didn't have time to fiddle with my DUMB camera. Sorry! Of course, to the left is the Beautiful Emma...sans a head...with her mom.

Our New Car

You are of the first to see and know we are getting a NEW CAR! This is our new car...its a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon GTI. It is so awesome, and has so many cool features. We get it on Friday. Leather Interior, heated seats and a cute sun-glasses holder. Those are the highlights for me. I'm sure Troy thinks other parts are really cool...but to me...that its super cute...is a VW and those above 3 features make the deal for me. I can't wait until Friday! :) I had a hard time sleeping last night, and I'm sure that I may have a hard time sleeping until we get this cute car, and then probably after that too...cause I'll be so excited to drive it! :) I can't wait. I love it!

Ok, well I have much to share, however, I have to get ready for company! We're having Shawn & Sara over for dinner.

Ciao!

Delinquent

Sorry...I have been. Every day I read all the blogs that I know about and think..."WHY HAS NO ONE BLOGGED!" and of course, I am among those. Sorry if there's anyone reading this.

Emma is getting married in 2 days. I am thrilled! I can't wait! Life has been busy. I've joined a floor hockey league...did I put that in my last post? I play my 2nd game tonight. Tomorrow is The Keg & Phantom! Then early Friday morning we are off to Saskatoon. We've never been there before, so it should be fun. I'm excited.

Is anyone else watching BB7? I just love that show. I hope Janelle wins. She's my favorite. Or James...I think one of those 2. Anyone from BB6 I'd be fine with. I think I may have to get the live feed. I know I have a sickness. Seems worth it for the low low price of $39.99 for the season. Hmmmm...

WE went to the stampede on Sunday night, we went to the concert with Starfield and Chris Thomlin & Third Day, but we left 4 songs into Third Day's set. We were too tired, and much more interested in the first two bands anyway. I love the concert. We also loved the dream home. Ironically, Troy had a hard time falling asleep cause he was imagining us living there...it was our dream home. Really.

I better go, my love is home, and we're going out to eat cause I had a really busy day today and don't feel like cooking! YEAH!

I didn't really have anything to say, just noticeed that lots of people haven't posted lately, and figured I should. :)

I love Big Brother All Stars. I hope Janelle wins. :) I love her!

For Craig

Thought I'd post a photo of our fly over above Niagara Falls, since Craig brilliantly showed me how to post pictures. Thanks!

Shara

Parade Day Sleep-in

Yeah! Parade day! I don't have to go to work until 12:30pm! Most people in Calgary don't have to go to work today until then (unless of course their job is parading around the streets of Calgary). One of the perks of living in this crazy city, (as far as I'm concerned) is the Stampede Parade morning sleep-in. Unfortunately due to some snow birds (or so we thought) we could not sleep in. The sound was TOO LOUD. Does anyone know what planes were flying over? I'd like to complain. yes sure they were doing their Canadian duty for those watching the parade, but what about the rest of us who were sleeping? And it wasn't one quick fly over...it was like 12 or so. Boo.

I woke up last night at about 5am and thought someone was in my house. Unfortunately I am prone to fear...and once my mind starts thinking about something...it becomes more and more real. I was woken up because I thought I heard the girl who lives above us, walking around very hard above us. (like stamping) (we never normally hear her walk). Anyway...this went on for quite a while, and then I started to remember the story my boss told me yesterday about someone getting their house broken into, through an open patio door, and the family who lived inside was tied up and such. I then began to think that our patio door was open...and although we are on the 3rd floor, someone could climb up the balcony's of they so desired...so of course, my mind started thinking someone was in our condo. Ugh.

Anyway, finally I got up the courage to go close the balcony door and eventually went back to sleep. I should have woken Troy up. Oh well.

Well...off to enjoy my morning off work. Hmmm...what to do...

We got Damn Friesen

As many of you may or may-not know, in round one of the playoffs the Calgary Flames played the Mighty Ducks. Jeff Friesen, otherwise known as Damn Friesen was on this team. He aquired the name Damn Friesen when he made some awful move which pushed the Calgary Flames further from the Stanley Cup which we all coveted. Anyway...Damn Friesen was traded today to the Flames. How ironic is that? Or is it...that Alanis Morissette song really messed that word up for me, and I'm not 100% sure if I'm using it write...but I would say...it has similarities to rain on your wedding day,or a free ride, when you've already paid...good advise that you just didn't take, and who would have thought it figures.

Yes TROY SHOULD POST MORE! Good point Craig. I'm happy to learn that the dinner that I made this morning in our new crock pot did not burn the condo down. Its the first time I've used it, and it occurred to me this afternoon that not all electrical appliances are safe at home alone. Apparently this one is. Pheuuuuuf! :)

So tomorrow is free beef day. The company I work for always buys a cow...from one of our clients, and the boss generously divides the cow between the employees. Usually he distributes it at some sort of company sponsored event where there's food, drinks, and well...taking insurance with the people we work with. We can't help it. That's tomorrow.

Anyway, I better go check on the bread I'm making for dinner. Mmmm....fresh bread.

**Craig, how do you post those pictures on your site? The only way I know how to do it is through (crap...I forget that free download...is it smile or something...?) Anyway...the way your pics look is cool, I'd like to learn to do that!

The Long Weekend is Over

Well the long weekend didn't seem very long...when you are spending 14 hours in the car driving to-and-from your weekend...it makes it more of a LONG DRIVE rather than a LONG WEEKEND. Troy & I had fun in Kelowna. I think my road rage is getting worse. I had a few "incidents" along the road with drivers I thought perhaps needed to either get off the road entirely, or re-take drivers training, which I was willing to give them. Man some people are frustrating! Actually...most people which we encountered on the long stretch of road beween Calgary and Kelowna yesterday were quite frustrating. Anyway... *deep breath*

Back to work again. I wonder what it feels like to retire. Good I think. Imagine not having to go back to work ever? How do people do that...I need a job with a pension. Hmmm...work today was lovely...as lovely as it can get the Tuesday of a long weekend.

Oh...what I wanted to add was that Kelowna was really fun, and Troy & I have been married now over 1 month. :) We took a day at the beach in Kelowna to celebrate this. We layed on the beach, swam in the lake, and rented a sea-doo to tool around on, on the lake. It was a blast! I had such a great time! We laughed lots and even tipped it over once from my CRAZY husbands driving. I love sea-dooing.

Anyway I'm trying to be a good little wife and bake my husband some cookies. I made him beef stroganoff for dinner from scratch...(However you spell that word). Anyway...

Craig you read my blog? COOL.

Sunny Friday of a LONG weekend…

How come some companies close early on Friday’s of a long weekend, and others are forced to stay open…in case you hadn’t gathered, I work for one of the companies which stay’s open to the brutal end of the day on a Friday of a long weekend. Today has been a typical Friday before a long weekend. I’ve had more calls than I can count on 1 hand of people who “absolutely NEED insurance this afternoon” but of course for one reason or another, can’t come into the office. Of course, it must have slipped his mind that he needed $6000 worth of insurance on his camera before 3pm today… Some people…just astound me with their stupidity…however, that is one of the fun things about my job. All the weird and interesting people I encounter. Due to privacy and what not, I am unable to talk directly about client files, but I’m laughing to myself right now…(those in my office likely think I’m mad, but that’s ok).

Troy & I are taking the LONG drive to Kelowna this weekend to visit his parents. I’m excited, however I usually end up doing the driving on long road trips (cause I’m a good race-car driver, and am a good manuveror, and because Troy can’t see real well in the dark) and I’m feeling the 3pm slump BIG-TIME right now. Its like I could curl up in a ball and hibernate for the winter. I’ve been SO tired for the past few weeks…maybe that’s what I’ll do this weekend….hang out with my newly acquired set or parents and sleep. Mmmm….sleep.

We are going to rent a car…Troy’s likely going to pick it up shortly…from Enterprise. I wonder if they’ll give us a small “smoosher” car. (those are the ones that look like someone smashed into them and smooshed it a little). That’d be fun. Mike and Michelle got some kinda weird smoosher from Enterprise when they were here for my wedding, Mike thought it was the greatest thing…I wonder if we’ll get the same one. J

Well I better get back to work. Have 1 hour and 19 minutes left of work…and then Zzzzzzz….(hopefully).

Have a great weekend all!

Shara Bierman

Well this is my first post as a married woman. We've been married 2 weeks now...and its been a blast! Our honeymoon was a lot of fun. Some of the highlights were: our helicopter ride over Niagara Falls our 4 night stay at Inn On The Twenty, our horse-drawn carriage ride through Niagara-On-The-Lake, and our time at the cottage. Also our couples massage at the Spa On The Twenty....mmmm...

We had a blast, and our wedding day was fantastic too, as well as our Ontario reception! It was so much fun. We are now home and recovering for the contant "high" of wedding excitement, as well as honeymooning. It will be hard to go back to work.

Some of our pictures have been posted to the web by our photographer. Here is the link! Hope you enjoy! Wedding Photo's & Engagement Photo's.

Ok, well we're off in a couple minutes to see our cute Nieces, so...hope to hear from all of you soon!

Great Dent

I have made a great dent in the cleaning/organizing of my soon-to-be home. Troy had his bach party last night, and I went to a welcome home party for Jonathan & Heather Dueck, but came home early because I have lots of wedding stuffs still to do. I'm proud of all the work I got done, and am up early this morning, to try to complete all this crazy work before the end of the day. Today the wedding events start.

Chelse and I are going to spend the night together tonight. We had an alone night before her wedding to do girlie things, and just hang out, and had wanted to do the same before my wedding. We'll watch girlie movies, get some snacks and spend some much needed time together.

Tomorrow one of my oldest friends (she's not old, but she's one of the friends that I've known the longest) is arriving to Calgary with her husband. Michelle and I met back in a grade 10 science class. We clicked immediately, and have been the closest of friends. We haven't seen much of each other in the past couple of years which is too bad, but I cherish her. Anyway, she is arriving Monday, and on top of all the wedding stuffs I get to do on my day off, we are going out for dinner to my favorite..."Joey Tomatoes".

Tuesday is a work day, but my friend Lisa Johnson arrives! :) Tuesday night is a night of tying bows! :) (on the programs). I've been eagerly recruiting people to tie bows, so it shouldn't take too long, which is great. I'm looking forward to hanging out.

Wednesday my family arrives! Yeah! I haven't seen my brothers Josh or Andy, or my sister-in-law Becca since Josh and Becca's wedding last year! I havne't seen my Grandparents in that long either, and none of those guys have met my soon-to-be husband! Anyway, we'll hopefully have some much needed catching up time. Wednesday night is my stagette...which I'm now gettting a tad nervous about after talking with Chelsea and Heather last night. Those 2 are trouble!

Thursday night is the Open house, and I can't wait to see my Uncle Ron, and his family! Its also been since J&B wedding since I've seen them, and it'll be cool to have them around. They're a really awesome family. I'm also going to meet a lot of Troy's extended family...and a lot of people we haven't seen in a while will be there.

Friday is the day of madness...meeting photographer, showing him photo-sites, taking him for breakfast, getting my hair trial done by Emma, getting church set up, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner...it'll be a whirlwind.

I am so thrilled about this week, I can't even stand it! This time next week I will be Mrs. Shara Bierman. YEAH!

I better get started on this work!

Stormy Day

I just want all of you who are reading this to know, that there are 167 posts in my blog. This is unheard of for me! I've started several blogs in the past, and they have all been abandoned for boredom or whatever. This one...although I don't write everyday, has been quite successful I think. Anyway.

1 week from today, I will be getting the finishing touches on my make-up and hair, and putting on that wedding dress of mine. WOW. I can't believe it has come up this quickly! How fun! We are in the home stretch now! Both Troy and I are excited, despite a couple of ment downs this past week....we are doing so good. WHoever came up with the Honeymoon after the wedding thing, was genious. We're both going to need it.

BIG NEWS!!!!! Chelsea & Andrew are home! YEAH! I'm thrilled and they stopped over last night unexpectedly, and what a great surprise! I'm so glad to have my best friend back! :)

Many things going on this week. Not sure who all is reading this blog...but I have a stagette on Wednesday night, Open House at our condo on Thursday night, and then the wedding on Saturday. If you need info on any of these events, please let me know.

Ok, well I better finish up here, I'm just about to start work for the day. Not sure if I'll have more time to write this week...but if not...please pray for great weather for me next Saturday!!!

Bed Day Tomorrow

So today was "moving" day. I got all my stuff moved over to Troy's place...and all the stuff we are storing, to Darren & Nicky's place. Troy is off to Centre Street to play and I am "playing house". How fun it is to "set up" a home. I have had a blast doing it so far, and its so much fun to have all my stuff here now...well all the stuff I'm keeping. I have an entire appartment of "stuff" at my place, that will furnish a women in need.

Tomorrow we are getting our new bed. King-size, pillow-top, pocket coil sealy mattress. How exciting! I can't wait to put the bedding on it. I don't know why...but I'm thrilled about that.

Two weeks from this very moment, I will be Mrs. Troy Bierman. Hmmm. How exciting! Then a honeymoon...and then back to reality. Life as I know it is about to change...I'm thrilled.

Chelsea and Andrew are coming home this week, and I'm thrilled about that as well. Every morning I think..."so and so many days till I'm married, so and so many days until A&C come home." It'll be nice to have my best friend back. Jonathan & Heather are back from Africa as well, which will also be fun! I'm glad to have them back too...although I haven't seen them yet. Maybe tomorrow.

OK, I'm going to get back to playing house now. I know my blogs have been boring lately. Check out my link to Tasha's Blog. She's one of my funniest friends, and one of my most favorite people on the planet. She has some great blogs, and they're entertaining.

Less than 3 weeks...

Welcome to day 20 in the countdown! I'm sure anyone reading this is HOPING for this day to come and go so they no longer have to be involved in this hideous countdown, but really, what could you expect....for a couple who celebrated every monthly anniversary of their relationship. :) Anyway. This weekend is an uneventful one (we're hoping). So far, we have done some unpacking, and settling in of me, and more of my stuff. I suppose I'm not settling in, only my stuff is. We went out with Mr. Darin Wilson, Troy's best man, and one of my favorite people on the planet, to Joey Tomatoes. That was a blast.

Today is running wedding errands...well at least I know that is what we are doing today, not sure if Troy knows or not.

I woke up at 4:30am and could not fall back asleep. I made myself wake up because I was having horrible dreams. I can't believe all the bad dreams I was have. I can only remember snap-shots of the dreams I was having last night, but a predominant theme in my dreams, is being chased. Anyway. I couldn't fall back asleep for an hour, and now, at 8am, I wake up again. I hope the insomnia is not coming back. I do not need that right now.

Do NOT under any condition, take your vehicle to Crowfoot Village Honda. Basically if you pay $269 to have your car detailed, would or would you not expect CSI to not be able to find a single hair or cough breath in there. Without getting into all the details...their detailing job, was worth about $10 to me. And not only that, but in the process, they uninstalled my car starter! So...of course we complained had the car starter re-installed, and the detailing was supposed to be re-done...however apparently re-done to them means, actually getting it dirtier. Hmmm. So, if that is the kinda work they do with detailing...I can't imagine the job they did under the hood on installing the timing belt, and such. Don't give those guys money. They are refunding us our $269...well at least they are supposed to be doing that. I'll let you know for sure. Don't go there.

Um...I don't know what to say...except Chels, I forgot the phone number to where you are staying again. Can you call me on Monday so we can chat?

Bye All.

I am so blessed!

Another bridal shower yesterday, how fun! It was a great time, and there were a ton of people there with their smiling faces and tea hats on. Deb & Lise planned this event, and it was a tea party...which I've never really ever had before...apparently you wear a tea hat. I didn't really bring a tea hat, but I had a very nice hat made for me out of tea bags which people had graciously brought with them.

I got a lot of very nice gifts, and it was great to have so many people out to support me. It was fun.

I'm doing "wedding things" today and then going to go back to our disaster of a condo, and unpack the things I moved over to Troy's on the weekend, and settle in our new loot!

Thanks for reading! ONLY 26 MORE DAYS until I'm "Mrs. Shara Bierman" Weird and cool all at the same time!

Ciao!

Shopping Spree

Today I went on a shopping spree! It was incredibly fun! I got all kinds of new clothes for summer...and spring I guess...hopefully no more Winter here in Calgary. So for the first time ever I'm watching an Edmonton Oilers hockey game...what's wrong with me...yes problems...I know.

So we got our home phone set up! How fun! So those of you who want the number let me know.

33 days until the wedding...that's not too many days. Only 30 days from now will be our Open House night...and I'm so excited about that! Meeting a lot of Troy's relatives from out of town, and seeing some of mine. I can't wait!

Tonight is the big Calgary game...I'm nervous already...I may do some pacing...I can't believe its on at 9pm. I know...a true fan would watch the entire thing...and I will...but I will be horribly tired in the morning when I get up to go to the gym.

Anyway...crap...Detroit just scored, and they are in the lead now 3-2. I have to cheer for Edmonton as fellow recepients of the Ralph bucks. We need to stick together.

I better go...I'm just stalling my nervousness.

Girls Night Out

Mmmmm....what a fun evening I've just returned from...

My friends Laura, Tasha, Kerri & Carmen had told me that they would pick me up at 4pm, and that's about it. We took off...and not even a word about the plan...excellent conversation and about an hour later we arrived in Canmore to find somewhere yummy to eat. We went to this great place...don't remember the name...but had some great food...we shared duck crepes, goat cheese fondu, this beef/lettuce wrap, a mushroom surprise and crab wontons...it was delicious.

From there we made a stop at a grocery store (and by this time I'm thinking...great...here it comes!) and proceed to Banff Gate...(not sure if that's totally corret) but it was this amazing cabin in the mountains...it was incredibly beautiful! It had a kitchen and living room which were one great room...with a cathedral ceiling...a fire place...and a wall of windows looking out on the mountains. We got some snacks and drinks...and talked for hours. I think we finally rolled into our beds at about 2pm...or maybe a bit before...Carmen and I shared a bed, so we stayed up and talked for a long while.

I got some fun lingerie (which yes, as soon as I got home the first thing I did was try it on, and that was really fun!), and Laura had prepared a fun game. That night...we definitely covered every subject under the sun...baring none...it was definitely a night I'll remember for a long time.

The Bed is Here

It is being set up as I write this email...how exciting...we aren't going to get our matress for a few weeks I guess...(so I can get the 60 days exchange policy as well). I'm so excited though...to get the bed set up so we can start seeing how our room will look...and then the mattress...and putting the egyptian cotton sheets on....and the fluffy warm duvet...I'm just thrilled.

I don't know what else to write....

s

Waiting Patiently

I'm at Troy's this morning waiting patiently for the men coming to deliver our bed. (or Marriage Chariot as Ryan calls it). I am thrilled...and can't help going to the balcony every 5 minutes to see if there's a big truck there. Also...I think the phone we ordered may come today...we're getting a landline...and I think it'll be ready today! YEAH! (well as long as we get the phones). Only 40 more days from today...wow. We had a nice weekend. The game on Friday was awesome...and the Flames of course, won in overtime. Last night they weren't so lucky and the amount of turnovers and the fact that they barely showed up in the first period bit them in the butt. If I remember correctly they had this same problem throughout the playoff's last night, but Sutter always managed to pull them together to get them to the final game. Hope he's able to do the same this year...how fun. I did tell Troy however that I'm not sure I can handle playoff stress as well as wedding stress...

What else...moed some more stuff over here...this is really fun. Really looking forward to our honeymoon...its the longest amount of work I've ever taken off at once, so that'll be really great.

I also have the 2nd "wedding type" event on Saturday night. Some of my girlfriends are taking me out on Saturday night. The plans are hush hush (to me) but I'm super excited! The weekend following that, there's a church wedding shower for me, and of course I'm also thrilled for that. How fun it is to be getting married!

I wish the doorbell would ring!
I should go check the balcony again! :)

I'm A Winner AGAIN!!!

Ok I am alive and well..but extremely busy! Work has been crazy busy, and the rest of my time has also been filled with things to do. I tried to post last night, but when I signed in, it said they were doing maintenance at the time and it wouldn't be available for an hour. Boo to that. Anyway, I won 2 tickets to the first play-off game for Calgary vs. Anaheim tomorrow. I'm so excited! I won them from work. What else...working on wedding stuffs...decorations etc...um...nothing realy new going on, except that time is passing so quickly! ONly 44 days left...HOLY COW! So much to do in those 44 days. Tonight we are working on getting our Parents Gifts taken care of. That'll be fun. OH YEAH...we're also getting a home phone line soon...so although I won't post on here, but those who want to know the number (when we get it), I'll definitely send out a group email...so if you don't get one...email me directly.

Um....it is SO beautiful here right now...its unbelievable. I want to be outside playing but there's some things we have to do.

I miss Chelsea. COME HOME SOON. PLEASE! I found something AMAZING for you know who the other day. Mmmmm...can't wait to show you what it is! HOW FUN!

So excited about all the RSVP's rolling in! Its thrilling!

Thanks for reading!

Dress Day

So the exam went fine, Paula arrived and we're having a blast, and the shower is over! Its Monday and its dress day. We're going to HOPEFULLY pick up my dress today after some alterations...but who knows. Perhaps it needs some more alterations. I can't wait, that's at 1pm. Until then, Paula and I are going to check out one of Troy's and My favorite breakfast places called "The Galaxy". Mmmmm....then dress appointment at 1pm. I'm thrilled.

The shower was so awesome. Rena and Paula went to so much trouble. They had a silly chair all decorated for me. "My Throne", and got a beautiful cake, and all kinds of food. We got amazing gifts as well. We got all kinds of goblets from our registry, we got white, and red wine goblets. We got a silicone baking pan, some great kitchenaide utensils...(in red), we got...a pots and pan's set from Dad & Paula, (its amazing). We got...a lazy susan made my Mark Hooge...its amazing. Um...what else...oh, a pizza stone, can opener, OH......2 DENBY CUPS FROM CHELS. Troy and I put this amazing collection of dishes on our registry. I am completely in love with it! Anyway, we got our first 2 pieces and I'm thrilled. What else did we get...some dish cloths...a great frying pan...everything we got was on our registry (aside from the lazy susan). How cool. It was an amazing time! It was fun to have a bridal shower for me!

I'm going to post a couple pictures from the shower, and some from Eden's birthday party. Eden is Troy's niece, and my soon to be niece...although I'm already called "Auntie Shara", Eden's first birthday party was on Friday night.

Only 54 more days!

Ugh

There are so many more fun things to do than study, for example ironing. On any given NORMAL day, Ironing would be the last thing I'd do every, but not today. I spent an hour and a half ironing this afternoon. "My Break". What's wrong with me! Studying is tough, even if it is something semi-interesting for me. (Auto Insurance). I know most of you are thinking I'm a geek...and I suppose we are each a geek in our respective fields.

When will Troy get home...we are supposed to go grocery shopping and then make dinner together...hmmmm...

Ok well I'm just trying to kill some time. I tried Spider solitare but I was no good today. Got a couple more RSVP's today! HOW FUN! I love those! Who knew getting married was so much fun!

Ok, I'm out!
S

Study Day

I'm taking a break from study day...or study week. I have an exam on Friday morning which I haven't been overly dilligent in studying for...so its down to crunch time...and I have to study all week..which is kinda crappy cause Troy's parents are visiting us this week. Anyway...can't do anything about that now...I'll just have to take advantage of the time I have....and study hard!

This weekend was really fun...even though troy was sick. We got our cool couch, and we've decorated our office/spare room and it looks amazing. its such a cool room and we both love it. We bought a new flat screen monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse...and a bunch of other stuff to make the room homey. (not that the computer makes it homey, just adds the more space.)

I love to decorate and make things look beautiful. I even hemmed some curtains yesterday...who knew?

So only 61 days till the wedding....I guess after the exam, I'll have to start finishing off my wedding planning and such. If you've gotten our invitation yet, we'd LOVE It if you'd RSVP! Its such a huge joy for us to find our RSVP responses. Just go to www.troyandshara.com and click on the RSVP link.

In other news, my Step-Mom is coming for a visit on Saturday which I'm greatly excited about. For the past 8 months or so, my Step-Mom has been battling breast cancer, and she's finally done her treatments...chemo and radiation, and I'm so excited to just hang out with her! She'll be lots of help with the wedding I"m sure having just planned an amazing wedding herself not quite 2 years ago. I can't wait.

I also am having a wedding shower thrown by her and Troy's Mom Rena on Sunday. I'm a bit nervous...but am thrilled....I've been to SO many showers in the past...and now its my turn!

Ok, I better get back to studying. I may post later if I give myself another break! God Bless!

A New Tradition

We've started a new little tradition of going on dates every Friday night. This is the 3rd Friday in a row we're going on a date! HOW COOL. So tonight we're going out to eat at crush, and then I bought us a board game we are going to learn to play. Its called Saint Petersburg and like Settlers and Carcassone it was rated best game of the year (in 2004). I'm excited to try it! :) I found this real cool store called the Sentry Box which is not far from here which not only sells all these really cool games...(hundreds and thousands of cool looking games) but you can also play them there...go and hang out and play games....that's a cool idea. I'm thinking that'd be a cool thing for Chels and I to do sometime...or her hubby and mine one Sunday afternoon, go and learn a new game before we buy it. It looks really fun.

LONG day and sucky week at work this week...lotsa BAD stuff happened. :( Only 64 days left....I'm trying to waste some time cause Troy's on his way home...I'm hungry and thirsty. Mmmmm...the sofabed comes tomorrow...I'm excited to see what it looks like, and all that stuff. We're having a hard time deciding how to organize the furniture into this room...

Pre-Marriage Counselling is really fun! I love going...that's our Wednesday night faithful at the Daumlers. We really enjoy it and it inspires some cool conversations.

Ohhhh...here he is! Gotta go! Date time!

Well its back home

My Pretty ring (or Skating Rink as my Step-Mom would call it) is back where it belongs on my finger, and although I love it…and think its so beautiful…my heart has been captivated by another ring which is currently in our possession but I’m NOT allowed to try on. We’ve decided not to put on our wedding bands until we get married. We tried them on at the ring shop yesterday to make sure they were made to the right size, but we’re not allowed anymore to do it. I just can’t wait…its so pretty…I can’t believe that I get to wear something so pretty for the rest of my life! Mmmm…I’m THRILLED!

What a Fun Weekend

Hi!

What a fun weekend we had. Our Pedicures were amazing...we bought our bed...and a sofabed, we bought some sheets, duvet all that kinda stuff...it was a blast. We also rented some movies, finished off our invitations, did our pre-marriage counselling homework...it was a blast. I am falling more and more in love with Troy as each day passes.

Something pretty huge also happened this weekend, the pastor of my church Phil Wideman resigned. A shock to most all in the church. Its strange to see all that's happened since I've moved out to Calgary regarding that...things have almost 100% changed...for bad, or good...or both...I'm not sure, I know I'm not the same girl, and I know that's good. Everything is a lesson to be learned I guess.

American Idol is horrible this week! No one can sing! Except for Mandisa. She's great...(I've only heard up to her though on this show...so hopefully it'll get better.

Only 67 days till Troy & I get married. MMmmmm...also my Step-Mom comes in less than 2 weeks! I can't wait to see her and her cute bald head! :) I get to go have my second fitting of my dress then...how exciting! What a thrilling and exciting time! Hopefully I'll get my engagement ring back soon too....I still don't have it back and its really sad cause people ask to see my ring all the time...and I don't have it. BOO.

Anyway...Love you all!

Lets See if This Works...

Its SO fun to have sent out some of our invites and have people RSVPing! HOW FUN! Check out our site too! www.troyandshara.com (not sure if the link will work, but you can copy and paste). Troy’s had lots of fun putting the site together, and tonight he’s taking me on another date! We’re going to get pedicures together! How fun! I’m super excited. I once had a pedicure and it’d one of the top 10 greatest things to do for sure! I’m excited to be going with my love. I’m also excited cause I think tomorrow we’re going to go and buy our bed frame! We found this amazing bed at Kiya. It’s got hydraulics in it, so you can lift up the mattress and there are 2 storage compartments underneath the mattress! And we need it for storage for sure in our little 950 square foot condo! J I’m excited about that! I’m also excited to be nearing the time when I get my ring back. I figure as each day passes….I’m getting a little closer to having my cute ring back! YEAH! I can’t wait!

Who got kicked off Survivor last night and was CSI a good one? I fell asleep at 9:05pm and didn’t wake up till morning… J I was a tired girl I guess!

Only 71 more days till Troy & I get to be married! COOL! Only like 121 days till Emma and Matt get to get married…(I checked out their registry today). What a fun summer I will have!

Have a great weekend everyone!

For all those faithful...

Who come into my blog to see if I've made time enough in my day to write something...thank you! It means a lot ot me that you check it out!

I had a nice long chat with my bestest friend Chelsea today. Please say a prayer for her, she is going through some...tough things right now. She's back in Ontario with her family right now, and will be for who knows how long. Please keep her and her husband Andrew in your prayers.

I'm still having a blast planning the wedding! Troy & I haven't even had one fight concerning wedding stuffs...we've actually only had 1 fight since our engagement and that was over something unrelated. WE don't usually fight anyway, but a lot of people have told me that there were a lot of fights in their engagement period. I'm not into that. It makes me anxious. Another thing that makes me anxious that I've discovered...is techno music. How weird is that? Yup...whenever its on, I get anxious.

Ok, back to wedding stuffs...um...Troy took me to LaCaille on Friday night for dinner & it was AWESOME! I am so much more excited now to have our family dinner there after the wedding! Its my new favorite restaurant...which is too bad cause you could feed a small country with the amount it costs to eat there...ugh.

I FINALLY got a new bank card today. I am not the greatest steward of my bank card...sometimes it migrates to a pocket or the handiest place at the moment and either gets lost or severely damaged. The unfortunate thing is that my main branch (I'm a proud (or not so proud) member of CIBC) is in Beamsville Ontario. A short 3000km jaunt from here. It'd be easier to make that jaunt than to try to get a card from a CIBC in Calgary, I'm sure of it.

Anyway...the reason I didn't change my bank location when I moved to Calgary is because I was persuaded not to...(maybe I'm a horrible client)...they told me that it doesn't matter where your "main" bank is...you can do all your banking from any location. Ok but every time I go into the bank to get a new bank card, no banking happens because I can't jump up and down while holding my ankles and yelling "I'm a CIBC client" while holding my tongue out and spinning in 360 degree circles while being careful not to jump out of the square tile I'm jumping in. Anyway, today I brought every piece of identification issued to me with me to CIBC in hopes that the 27 pieces would provide adequate proof that I am who I say I am and I can be trusted with a small piece of plastic. Heck, if I was lying...I'd DEFINITELY be finding a bank account with more money in it!

Ok, that's my rant. I may be marrying into the TD family though...we'll see if I can be persuaded...perhaps TD doesn't make you do so many acrobatics...

I'm so tired! GOSH! Oh...another rant for the day. T4 Mini lightbulbs. Is there such a thing, or did some idioit just scribble on our fixture manuel his insanities and laugh thinking some poor soul would go into every store in Calgary which sells lightbulbs looking for them. That's another thing I did today.:)

Ok...(I'm super tired! I did lots of work today and got up early).

I need to go to bed! Only 75 more days till I get married! WhoooooHOOOOOO!

Oh The Fun We've Had

Planning a wedding is great fun! I am having a blast! This weekend we picked & ordered tux's, picked and purchased suit, shoes, 2 ties, 2 shirts & belt for Troy (largely for Ontario reception). We also picked our wedding bands and to my broken heart's dismay, I had to leave my beautiful engagement ring behind at the jewelers so they can custom make my wedding band...cause I have something very specific in mind that I want... :( I'm very sad about that.

Tonight we went and registered at Home Outfitters. That was SO fun! Its like shopping except you don't get to take home any of the stuff...but its still super super fun! WE loved it. OH we also found and purchased our bed from Sleep Country Canada "why by a mattress anywhere else?" Obviously we couldn't think of a reason! We already know the bed we want, we just have to go and order one and then arrange for both pieces to be delivered to Troy's pad. HOW COOL! Only 89 days now...well 89 sleeps...88 days. I know, I'm ridiculous!

We also booked LaCaille on the Bow for our family dinner the day of the wedding. That will be so fun! My family & Troy's family getting to know each other! I'm thrilled!

What a productive and fun weekend we had.

We also took Vienna to the movies and she was completely enamored by them...she was completed mesmerized...what a treat! And we also got to snuggle her for the duration of the movie. 1/2 with Uncle Troy & Half with Auntie Shara.

Oh...a funny...kinda inappropriate, but funny none the less. So often when Vienna who is potty training has successfully completed her business on the potty, she gets a treat. ANYWAY! After we were back at her house after the movie, I needed to use the bathroom. She comes outside the door and says "Auntie Shara, what are you doing in there" I replied "I'm going pee" she answered "Are you pooping" and I replied..."No, just peeing" and she responded "ok, here's your treat" and slid a little sweedish berry (which we'd bought for her at the movies) under the door into the bathroom. What a cute funny little sweetheart!

Anyway, I'm exhausted. NIGHT!
Thanks for all the notes!

94 days

So the Wedding Countdown continues. This weeks tasks are getting the Tux's reserved, shopping for wedding bands & registering. Oh...we're also going to take Vienna to her first movie ever! Curious George! How fun! We're so excited to do that! I wonder if she'll sit through the whole thing? I wonder if she'll let us snuggle her while she's watching, or will she want to be a big girl and have her own chair (she's probably too light and it'll fold up with her in it). Anyway, we're thrilled to spend the afternoon with her!

Wedding planning/engagement time has been amazing! We're having a blast, and although being a "wife in training" is definitely got its challenges, I'm growing to love Troy more with each day that passes!

This morning I got up and got to the gym before work and had a really good workout. I think that was the first day I've ever done that! I'm so proud of myself!

That's all really...I love hearing from everyone!

98 Days

So I'm already counting down! How fun! Troy & I will be married in 98 days. Last night was our engagement party. So many people came, it was so fun! We got lots of nice gifts...and Deb Wideman made us a beautiful cake! I want to savor the next 3 months...I imagine they will be filled with lots of fun & excitement! We have accomplished so much so far in the planning department. WE have the church/hall, minister (my grandpa), photographer (check out www.fotobistro.com), honeymoon, my dress, bridesmaids dresses, my flip flops (1 of 2 pairs of shoes I need), flower girl dress, hotel rooms blocked off for out of town guests, invitations stuffs ready to make invitations, party favor stuffs ready to make party favors...and the list goes on. What a fun process. I've of course never gotten to see how fun it was. I've only seen friends walking through this....but I never realized how much fun it is! :)

Besides this...not too much going on. Going to a friends for a b-day party tonight, that'll be really fun!

Anyway...drop me a line if you have a chance!

How he started...

We're Engaged!!!!!!!

So yesterday was as everyone knows...Valentines Day, but it was also our 1 year anniversary of dating. Now we can add one more thing to the day...the day we got engaged! :) Troy made me an amazing dinner...he planned everything out down to the very small details...the wine he got on our first trip to Kelowna, he found out how to set the table for a special dinner...and my boy...who's not a cook...embarked on his very first attempt at making an entire dinner and it was amazing! So delicious! After dinner, he made us tea and all the while a cd that he had made with all kinds of love songs was playing. I pulled his hand and we danced to a "Death Cab for Cutie" song..."I want you so much closer". Then he asked me if I wanted my anniversary gift. I opened it, and it was an ipod nano. I wasn't sure whether to be happy or disapointed...(I was sort of hoping for a ring)..so I began to open it...and I took the ipod out of the box...and on the back (as you can see in the picture) it says "will you marry me". I then had a million questions going through my head..."is he asking me? why isn't he saying anything..." amongst those questions...so I turned it over quickly and began pretending I was interested in what else was in the box. All the while I was thinking..."is this something they put on all these things?" "what a cruel joke...I hope they tell people they do this..." "is he asking me to marry him? If I say yes, and he's not asking...how uncomfortable that will be..." anyway...a million things went through my head...he then took the nano and said..."look, there's a cool mirror on the back" and turned the thing over so I could see the ingraving again. Again he didn't really say anything...so...I just started.... a moment of awkward silence...and then I finally could hold back no longer..."are you for real?" and he didn't say anything...so I repeated myself "are you for real?" and he then got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife. :)

How fun!

I'm excited to hear what everyone thinks! Gotta go to work!

Christmas

Christmas was amazing! I got so incredibly spoiled! That's not entirely why it was amazing, but it certainly helps. Troy got me loads of gifts. A car starter, a portable Toshiba 10 inch dvd player, a fuzzy comfy bathrobe, 2 seasons of "Friends", a comfy pillow, an http://engrish.com t-shirt...the "Calm Down Monkey" one, a Jack Handy book, a Christmas Cd, body shop stuff, a gift card to starbucks, an amazing teapot and creamer/sugar set that I'd fallen in like with at Second Cup, a Mrs. Pack-Man video game...and more! He totally spoiled me! Then from my Dad & Paula I got a gift card to Red Lobster. Its has purchased me a couple Lobster meals which I've been quite thrilled about. :) MY Mom gave me a really nice quilt, some sheets, some awesome pj's, a large cheq, a fun Christmas stocking and a bunch of other small stuff. All my sets of Grandparents (Grandma & Grandpa, Grandma, Oma & Aunt Elisabeth (I loop her in with the grandparents) all gave me some cashola. Troy's parents got me a cute scarf, and so did his brother and sister in law. I also got the yummiest lose leaf tea and a loose leaf leaf holder from his other brother and sister in law. I got a picture frame, some tongue rings and a gift card to American Eagle. I totally cashed in...O...from work, I got a coffee/cappa/latte maker with a starbucks accessory set, 6 kinds of coffee, some syrup and a cute mug. WOW.

I sat back in amazement at my gifts and was awestruck. When I was opening the gifts from Troy I started to cry a little because I was overwhelmed. Next year, Christmas has to have a budget.

Chelsea has gotten married! Chelsea is my best friend. Her wedding was picture perfect and Chelsea was what every bride dreams she will look like. I'm going to post some pictures of her wedding on here.

VIENNA SAID MY NAME FOR THE FIRST TIME OVER CHRISTMAS! Vienna is Troy's 2 1/2 year old niece. She's incredibly cute and to my knowledge aside from parents, grandparents has only learned (or said) the name Troy before...and on Christmas, she said "Shara". I LOVED IT. It almost made me cry a little bit. :) I"m going to post some pictures of that as well.

So Christmas was awesome. New Years was not a huge event, we watched a movie and had some nacho's, but were so tired from Wedding stuffs that we didn't do much of anything except vege. Both of us barely made it to midnight...(probably caught a few Zzzzz's before) kissed and then said goodnight and goodbye. Uneventful, but fun and enjoyable cause I got to spend it with my sweetie!

Anyway, not much more to tell...for those of you wondering, NO, I don't have a rock yet...and don't worry, Troy's getting daily harassment from the Daumler girls, the Daumler parents, and all others that know the both of us. Poor man. Oh well. He can handle it, and does with charm.

Take care, drop me a line if you have a few.
God Bless.
