Christmas
Christmas was amazing! I got so incredibly spoiled! That's not entirely why it was amazing, but it certainly helps. Troy got me loads of gifts. A car starter, a portable Toshiba 10 inch dvd player, a fuzzy comfy bathrobe, 2 seasons of "Friends", a comfy pillow, an http://engrish.com t-shirt...the "Calm Down Monkey" one, a Jack Handy book, a Christmas Cd, body shop stuff, a gift card to starbucks, an amazing teapot and creamer/sugar set that I'd fallen in like with at Second Cup, a Mrs. Pack-Man video game...and more! He totally spoiled me! Then from my Dad & Paula I got a gift card to Red Lobster. Its has purchased me a couple Lobster meals which I've been quite thrilled about. :) MY Mom gave me a really nice quilt, some sheets, some awesome pj's, a large cheq, a fun Christmas stocking and a bunch of other small stuff. All my sets of Grandparents (Grandma & Grandpa, Grandma, Oma & Aunt Elisabeth (I loop her in with the grandparents) all gave me some cashola. Troy's parents got me a cute scarf, and so did his brother and sister in law. I also got the yummiest lose leaf tea and a loose leaf leaf holder from his other brother and sister in law. I got a picture frame, some tongue rings and a gift card to American Eagle. I totally cashed in...O...from work, I got a coffee/cappa/latte maker with a starbucks accessory set, 6 kinds of coffee, some syrup and a cute mug. WOW.
I sat back in amazement at my gifts and was awestruck. When I was opening the gifts from Troy I started to cry a little because I was overwhelmed. Next year, Christmas has to have a budget.
Chelsea has gotten married! Chelsea is my best friend. Her wedding was picture perfect and Chelsea was what every bride dreams she will look like. I'm going to post some pictures of her wedding on here.
VIENNA SAID MY NAME FOR THE FIRST TIME OVER CHRISTMAS! Vienna is Troy's 2 1/2 year old niece. She's incredibly cute and to my knowledge aside from parents, grandparents has only learned (or said) the name Troy before...and on Christmas, she said "Shara". I LOVED IT. It almost made me cry a little bit. :) I"m going to post some pictures of that as well.
So Christmas was awesome. New Years was not a huge event, we watched a movie and had some nacho's, but were so tired from Wedding stuffs that we didn't do much of anything except vege. Both of us barely made it to midnight...(probably caught a few Zzzzz's before) kissed and then said goodnight and goodbye. Uneventful, but fun and enjoyable cause I got to spend it with my sweetie!
Anyway, not much more to tell...for those of you wondering, NO, I don't have a rock yet...and don't worry, Troy's getting daily harassment from the Daumler girls, the Daumler parents, and all others that know the both of us. Poor man. Oh well. He can handle it, and does with charm.
Take care, drop me a line if you have a few.
God Bless.

His Birthday...
Life flys by! As if its December 22nd already! I am getting really excited about Christmas this year. Its Troy's and my first Christmas together! Our tree has an obsurd amount of gifts under it. I told him next year we have to set limits and that I'm not allowed to take any plastic shopping with me...only cash. :)
Yesterday I got a nice giftcard from my Dad & Paula to Red Lobster, and a constant flow of cards containing cheq's have been rolling in from my Grandma's and Grandpa (that sounds weird...but I have 1 Oma (Grandma in German), 1 Grandma & then another Grandma only One Grandpa, so the Grandpa isn't married to all 3 of them). I also got a cute card and cheq from my really cute Aunt Elisabeth. She's one of the coolest older ladies I've ever met/heard of. I love her to bits and wish I lived closer to her. Anyway...
Chelsea and Andrew are getting married in less than 2 weeks! HOW FUN! I can't wait! That's part of why I'm so excited...first Christmas, then I'm throwing her stagette/lingerie party, then the rehersal and wedding...and then new years...what a fun couple weeks...if I could only get past the working days and on to Christmas! YEAH!
This morning I got up early....well actually NOT early, I just snoozed only once...and made coffee and spent some time reading the bible...and of course, as GOd always does...I had an abundance of time...like I gave him my time offering, and he returned it abundantly...that's why I have time to blog, cause I'm ready and don't want to be at work super early. Our God is good...and how fun it is that we celebrate his birthday in a couple days. I love this season.
Have you ever considered how Mary's family responded to her pregnancy? I was thinking about that last night as I drove home from Troy's house...knowing myself, and the small bit I do about their culture, I think I would have thought Mary was completely nuts out of her mind to think she was carrying the Messiah, and I likely would have disowned her...I wonder if her family did that. Take that thought with you today...the things our Messiah endured for us...go far beyond the pages of the bible...I wonder...
We had the Daumlers over for dinner last night along with Chelsea and Andrew. Of course Troy's place was a hit! Even the girls loved it! What a great time we had! I had the most interesting conversation with Naomi. It went like this:
Shara: Naomi did you see Chelsea's pretty ring yet?
Naomi: nope (runs over to see it and comes back and climbes into my lap) Its's Beautiful.
Shara: Naomi did you know that Chelsea and Andrew are going to get married in 2 weeks
Naomi: (Naomi's eyes get big) I sure hope I can go.
Shara: Naomi did you know that when a boy asks a girl to marry her, he gives her a ring? So Andrew asked Chelsea to marry him and he gave her that ring!
Naomi: Did she say yes?
Shara: Oh yes she did! And now they are getting married.
Naomi: Well if Joshua grew up like me, and he gave me a ring like that, I'd say yes to him. And if Sawyer grew up like me and gave me a ring like that, I'd say yes to him.
Shara: Well what if they both grow up like you, and they both want to give you a ring...which one will you choose?
Naomi: Well.....they both like dinasours...so...
Shara: Is that the sort of thing that does it for you or...?
Naomi: Well I don't really like Dinasours...but Billy really does (Naomi's cousin(a girl)
Shara: Well maybe you could set BIlly & one of those boys up...
Naomi: Yeah, but they don't know each other.
Yeah anyway. That was so much fun! My Little Naomi is growing up. Anyway, my time has expired, I need to run off to work today! God Bless! Merry Christmas!

I'm Ridiculous
So for any of you who've tried to call me and haven't heard back from me...its likely cause my phone is hooped. I took it back 2 days ago and it will take 2-10 weeks to fix apparently...lovely.
So the other day I locked my keys in my trunk...Troy & I had gone to Billy Graham's Samaritan's Purse warehouse to volunteer to sort Christmas child boxes, and he had his keys in his pocket, so I locked mine in the trunk of my car along with my purse...containing my wallet. I had forgotten that I had locked my trunk hatch inside my car (a security feature my car has, so if someone breaks in your car, they can't pop the trunk). Anyway, I only have 1 master key (which is on my key ring) and the rest are valet keys...as you can imagine the valet keys can't open that latch lock, the trunk or the folding seats in the back...needless to say, I had no way of getting my purse or keys out...
Anyway...after several phone calls I managed to get my trunk popped open by a locksmith. Pheuuuuuf!
The DAUMLERS ARE COMING HOME TOMORROW and I can't hardly wait. I'm estatic!
Today is Tom Loewen's birthday and we had a nice chat this morning.
I think that's all for me today...have a good one. God Bless.
Go Flames Go!

November 20, 2005
Naomi Daumler is 5 today. I can't wait to see that little cutie in 6 days! I miss my sisters!
As you can see its been AGES since I've written. Since I have, my brother Jon showed up and surprised me with a 3 day visit. That was fun! We went to Banff and did the Spaghetti Factory & spent a lot of time hanging out with him and Troy.
Then Lennie & Bonnie were here for a couple days, and what a riot we had! We went to Canadian Olympic Park and were the guests of honor for the day...well I think we thought we were honored...I don't think anyone knew we were there, and thats why we were able to see so much! We rode the elevator to the top of the ski jump and looked over Calgary...we watched some bob-sledders practicing (and falling over) ont he bob-sled run & we saw some guys practicing their take off in the ice house. It was a great time! WE also checked out Peters...a great place for guests to Calgary...we hung out and reminiced a lot and had a great time. It was so good to catch up with them.
Tomorrow is Troy's Birthday, and I've really gone overboard with presents for him. Since he doesn't know yet I can't really talk about it on here, but I spent far more than I should have. I can't wait though, it will be so fun to spoil him!
Life is going well! Getting ready for Chelsea's wedding December 30th & before that Christmas. Am falling more and more in love, and becoming better friends with Troy every day. Our relationship is becoming more and more concreted & more and more rooted in love & Christ. We are growing and learning together, and its awesome! Last night his parents took us to the Keg for his birthday dinner...Mmmmmm....the Keg....
Anyway, I'm procrastinating...I have an exam on Dec 6th or so...and I really need to study. I'll attach a couple pictures. See ya!

Troy
Every day I am falling more and more in love with this man whom God has brought into my life. We've been dating 7 1/2 months now, and its been incredible. I've never met someone who knew how to manage me while respecting me, and loving me before. Someone I feel comfortable sharing every aspect of my life with...sharing my thoughts and my feelings and my dreams. Even when we are arguing...I feel so loved, so respected, so cherished. I can't say I have ever felt this all-encompassing love before, from a human being whom I loved such as this. Its incredible...its addicting...its pure and holy. I feel so free to love him...to invest in him and to trust him, knowing that only God is my strengh not Troy. That only God is my life...not Troy. That God needs to come first, and then him. Someone called him my "hubby" yesterday...it made me smile. He's not yet my hubby....but maybe one day. I am so in love, and if you've seen me, you know it, but if you haven't...now know.

Somebody Hit My Cute Car
At least it wasn't a hit-n-run. A friendly man by the name of Kevin left a note and when I called him, appeared to give me all his information...drivers license number, insurance policy name and number...etc. I hope I can get my car fixed through him...ugh. What a bad feeling.
I did get some good...hush...hush news today...I can't let the cat out of the bag just yet, but I'm pretty happy about it. You'll hear soon enough, and no I'm not engaged. :)
The interviewing starts tomorrow and I'm looking forward to another challenge in my job. Today I got a whole slew of resume's and I got to look through them and select several candidates to interview. My boss & I will do this together and I think it will be a great learning experience for me. I look forward to it.
2 weeks & 1 day from now I'll be packing & getting ready to leave! I can't wait! :) YEAH! How fun...New York in the Autumn.
I better go, I have 3 tests to write for this liabilities course I'm doing & I need to get it done by Monday at the latest.
Ciao

Date Night
Tonight is date night and I just finished getting ready. Troy's shaving or doing something related...and I'm waiting. We're going to walk to the Keg for some dinner. I can't ever remember going to the Keg! I love when he plans dates for me.
So news...first off, my Mom no longer has her PT Crusier! YEAH! She has some Lincoln something or other. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
New York in the fall! We leave October 5, 2005, and will return Oct 11, 2005. I can't wait! I miss my Dad & Paula a lot!
I bought tickets to the Calgary Flames vs. Edmonton Oilers for Oct 15th! I am so stoked that they are playing again...although they did lose their first pre-season game to Edmonton in a shoot out.
Janelle got voted out of Big Brother 6 last night and first off...all day yesterday I was nervous about it...and then Yvette voted her out...ugh...I'm frustrated.
I had to fire someone today. I was so nervous, but I prayed about it lots before and I think there was a peace about it...in her and in me. Things will be better off this way. Still gross though.
My Step-Mom has breast cancer. I'm not sure if I've written about that in here or not, but she was diagnosed about....1 month ago, and 1 week after that had surgery. The next step is to have some chemo implanted into her right arm & then the chemo & radiation start. That is happening on Sept 26th. She's going to get her hair cut short so the hair losing process ins't as painful. A hard road ahead, although I'm sure God has lots to teach us through this.
Yesterday I had a little girl in my office. Her name is Emma & She is 4 years old. Let me dialogue a conversation for you.
Emma "You look tiny because I can't see your legs"
Shara "I don't have any legs"
Emma "Do you like taking showers?"
It was quite funny. What a cute little girl she was. She never stopped talking for half an hour. I think I missed my calling. I think I was supposed to work with kids...I love them.
What else is going on...I'm looking forward to going somewhere hot & sunny! My mom is sponsoring a trip for her, my 3 brothers, my sister-in-law & Troy to go somewhere Hot & Sunny around Christmas time. She wants somewhere all inclusive...I want somewhere starting with Hawa-and ending in -ii. Mmmmmm....Aloha! How fun!
Anyway, I should end this...Troy's new place is awesome! Everytime someone comes over, they just fall in love with them place like we have! Its so comfy here and both of us enjoy the "company" of this condo. :) Anyway...if you're reading this...I'm interested to know who you are...and what you're up to!

Oopsie
I'm sorry its been so long since I posted. I've gotten distracted with Troy's move...shopping for LOTS of new things...unpacking...cleaning and now for the past week....recovering. His new place is AWESOME! I can't think of anything I'd like better in a condo...than what his condo has. Its amazing! He has a remote control ceiling fan in his bedroom (and a remote control light as well)...amazing closet organizers, gradual lighting...(it starts off very dim and then as your eyes adjust to the light, the light gets brighter! Its got brand new fancy appliances, a wonderful fireplace, big balcony...and the list goes on. In his building there are 16 units and everyone is so friendly and right around the same age as us. The "Welcome Wagon" dropped off a plate of cookies and squares to welcome him to the building...how great! And its only a 2 minute walk to a very trendy 17th Ave (some may know this as the red mile). Its great. I love it. Its fun to play house with Troy.
It is dark and dreary out today...windy, cold...and rainy. Yuck.
One month from right now I will be in New York City with my honey! We booked our flights to the big apple to visit my Dad & Step-Mom. I'm so excited to see them all! There's been a new addition to my family since I was there the last time...Baby Matthew was born earlier his year and I can't wait to meet him! :)
I miss my Calgary family....if you are reading my blog...please take a minute to pray for Tom & Lise Daumler as they are in Burkina Faso West Africa with their 4 little girls. Please pray that God would lay on each of their hearts separately, a vision for the new few months and years for their lives...and that they would have the courage to follow the direction God is leading them. Also please pray for financial relief for their needs and wants. This is the most generous family I have ever known...and they are in financial need right now, which breaks my heart.
Well that's all for today, I'll try to remember to post come pictures later on...

Alex & Renee
The 2 pictures below are pictures colored for me by Alex & Renee. They are 6 year old twins who I took out for icecream last week. Their parents are going through a divorce due to some horrendous circumstances quite similar to that of my family...so I thought having walked that path as a child (I was 16 but still a child) I may have some support to offer these 2 little girls. I've decided to try to take them out every once in a while and chat and have fun. They colored these pictures for me before we went out, and I figured I should post them.
One more day until Big Brother 6 is on again...

The Countdown Begins
Only 9 more sleeps for Troy until he gets into his new condo! How exciting! Both of us are very excited...seeing as I love to organize...I think I'll have my hands full for a little bit helping him organize his new place! YEAH. Plus what a cool area he lives in. I'm so excited and I'm not even moving! :)
I talked to Tom, Lise, Maggie, Ainsley, Faith & Naomi Daumler today! How exciting! They are doing great. Naomi finally figured out she is not going to turn into a little black girl...(I'd been telling her that for months before she left...and she was quite looking forward to turning into a little black baby.) She told me today that she had figured it out...it was funny we had a good laugh.
My Settlers addiction has ceased...not of my own will...but because my free trial has expired...boo. :)
That's about all for me today. God Bless.
Please pray for my step-mom Paula today, she has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is having the cancer removed today.

Those Who Know Me, Know me Well
I have discovered another addiction...I found an online Settlers of Catan game. In the course of the last 3 days, I think I've played abotu 20 games of Settlers Online. How horrible is that. I"ll crawl into bed....and can't stop thinking about playing settlers so I get up and play again. Out of all the games I played...truth be told...I only lost once! I'm pretty proud of that. Anyway...my free trial expired....and I'm a little sad about it however maybe something will get done around my house now... :(
You know you are a Reality TV Show Junkie when you start dreaming that you are on the show....last night I dreampt I was on big brother, and it was really fun, but I got voted off. BOO.
I played golf for the first time yesterday, boy was that fun! It poured rain all day and was only 6 degrees, but I loved it anyway. This could become another addiction for me....:)
I better get back to reality.

A Funny Note from my Neighbor

I figured it was my duty to publish the most recent events of Berkley Court NW. So on Friday I noticed this notice posted on a chair sitting in front of #39 Berkley Court. I thought it was really really funny, and think perhaps I might add a note of my own to this little billboard...but I haven't quite decided yet. What are everyone's opinions of this...?
Hopefully you can read it, I tried to blow it up a bit in photoshop.

I Won A Bicycle
I won the cutest new bicycle ever. I can ride it until I'm a Granny because its definitely a Granny Bike. It is awesome. Through work, we had a contest and I won! How exciting! This is the first thing I've ever won before, and I'm very proud of it and can't wait to ride it! :) I have no idea where I'll park it, but, whatever, its exciting! :) Maybe Troy will let me keep it at his house so I can go riding around downtown lots! :)
Today my girlfriend Jill is getting married! How fun is that? Should be a good time! :) I'm excited! This weekend is all church all the time for Troy, he's playing at 2 centre st services this weekend and one Ridgeview one. Wow, I'm only doing 1 Ridgeview one...although I guess that means we will miss out on the Lido this weekend...boo. We go there nearly once every weekend.
Now someone stole the Lysol wipes at the office....is that bizarre or what? They were there earlier, and now they are gone. Hmmm....someone's getting hungry for a little more than $1 snacks and petty cash. This is ridiculous.
Oh well. Have a great weekend,

Kayser is back!
And in other news, I continue to feed my reality TV Syndrome, and am happy to report that Kayser is back on Big Brother 6. Its quite scandalous actually...but I'm so pleased! I screamed when they announced it was him...I felt sort of silly for doing so because I was the only one in the room...the only one home at the time...hmmmmm...
So this weekend is my 6 month anniversary with Troy. I might add that this is the longest continual relationship I have been in. I've had longer relationships, but they were ones that were "on again/off again". I'm so excited about our relationship. I feel like slowly but surely we are being knit together, and even though we've know each other just short of 7 months, I feel like we just fit...its really incredible. I've never met a man who is so generous, gracious, fun, supportive, loving, silly, patient, adorable, and centered. He is amazing, and I am falling more deeply & fully in love with him every day. Happy 6 months baby.
Ok this coffee is giving me the jitters....I better stop...
Am looking forward to going to New York in October. Today I applied to get tickets to David Letterman, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Troy loves that show) & SNL. I'm also going to keep my eyes on ticketmaster because U2 will be in town when we are there....and all 3 shows are sold out as of now...we'll see.
I'm done,

A Series of unforgettable Events
Do you ever think to yourself "I've got to remember this!" and then completely forget what you are remembering? Yesterday after a great morning of Lido breakfast, Ridgeview Fellowship and teaching and time with my boy, Troy & I went off to Home Depot, Michaels & Walmart in search for the perfect paint, fabric and accessories for some chairs we decided to reupholster. In Home Depot, walking through the paint section, a HUGE man...likely 280 pounds with a bald head walked by on the opposite side of the aisle than me, and as soon as he passed me, abruptly turned around and said "EXCUSE ME? DID YOU JUST TOUCH MY ASS?" It was something directly out of a Seinfeld episode...I looked at his face for a touch of joke...but saw no smile..."Uh...no...?" I responded...and he turned and walked away...weird. I don't ever want to forget that, because it was hilarious.
Or on Saturday when I was telling Troy about the time I was in a parking lot driving with Chelsea about a week after I got my car, and I was backing up really fast and smashed into a pole...as I am telling Troy this story, instead of "backing up" I said "barking up" and couldn't get my mind to recognize this...like a similar experience in a car with some gum...and trying to place it in the "general vicinity" of the garbage. Or the time when I said "Sink Theriously" when trying to talk to Troy one time...perhaps some kind of disagreement which was obviously lost after I'd said that...what's wrong with me?
Ahhhh....times are fun. I'm totally completely in love...
Anyway the reno's on the chairs was really fun, and both of us are so proud of our accomplishments although we are not completely finished...we work well as a team. Its fun. I love my boy.
I should go...I wanted to post some memories. Have a good day all and please send up a prayer for Tom, Lise, Maggie, Ainsley, Faith & Naomi Daumler. They have just found out that the water filtration system that they have been looking forward to instead of costing $500 Canadian will cost $1200 Canadian and they don't have the money.
God Bless,

I learned something new
I learned something new today. Did you know the Muslim men, can not shake hands with a woman? And Muslim Women can't shake hands with a man? I learned that today in a somewhat awkward situation with a client where I extended my hand to shake his and he wouldn't shake my hand. He followed it with an apology and explained that I should not be offended but that this is his religion and he must follow it...I understood. No offense taken.
I think its neat that this man, as taboo as it is to refuse to shake someone's hand in Canada, would follow a rule of his religion even when it puts him in a difficult position in Canadian society...does this make sense? I think there are definitely things to learn from other religions...like this...this man will be "set apart" in my head now, I'll remember this situation always...how many times do we give up a situation to be "set apart" in someone's head just so we can fit in. I hope this can be a constant reminder for me.
Tonight is dinner at the Hooge's house...Cathy is one of the worlds greatest cooks! Mmmm...
Chelsea is off in Ontario...how fun! I wish I was there too!
I should sign off, this is short but sweet....life is sailing on at rapid speed...starting to get ready to help Troy move...packing/cleaning...ugh. :) Very much looking forward to him having his own cute condo! I can't wait for him to live there!

A New Home For Troy
So today, my boy found & bought a new home. Its a condo, 925 square feet at 301 1331 15 Ave SW. Its the most beautiful condo we've seen, and GOSH! We've seen a lot of them. This is the third unit he's put an offer in on, but the third one is the charm...or rather...God has more than we asked for...or imagined...in mind for us. Several weeks ago, I found what I thought was the best we could imagine, and we were heartbroken when he didn't get that place...but this place is better...it has things yesterday I realized I'd want in a place...(a ceiling fan) and things that I didn't imagine that are fantastic (closet organizers). It is a beautiful suite and I'm so pleased & excited.
Its been ages since I've written in here, but I'd like to start doing more of it again. Its fun!
I've been very busy. My job has been quite a challenge lately, since 2 of my staff have quit...so hiring one new one, and figuring out what to do with this position of the other. I am actually taking on an entirely new position at my job, I'm going from Customer Service to Producing, which I"m very excited about, and which will make me more money. I'm definitely excited about the changes, however its is a lot of things on one plate all at once. And now with Troy getting ready to move, its going to be a busy and exhausting month...plus I'm starting school next month too. I'm working on getting my 2nd designation. I'm excited about that, however I've signed up for the hardest and likely most boring course to start off with...so...I can't say I'm looking forward to that, but oh well.
Anyway, I'm exhausted. I'm waiting for Chelsea and Andrew to get here. They are both staying over at my place tonight...so...I've got to wait up for them, but I'm so sleepy. Oh well.
Have a fantastic day anyone who's reading this, and enjoy the pics of the new condo. Let me know what you think!!!

Can't Complain
I suppose I can't complain about others who don't blog if I haven't done much of the same in a long while. Life has been busy...work has been busy but everything's been great.
Today is my Boy and I's 5th Month anniversary....I'm not sure if technically you're allowed to call it an anniversary for only 5 months, but Troy is good at remembering these dates. We won't see each other today though to celebrate...tonight I get to go to the Hoogsters for dinner...Mmmmmm...and then to Chelsea's to help her pack & clean. She's moving tomorrow! Troy has his band practice tonight too...so both of us are busy.
I've had a couple realizations lately. The first one, is more of a joke and the second, more serious. I'm addicted to reality tv. From Survivor, Big Brother, American & Canadian Idol...and even Brat Camp...I just can't get enough. I have serious problems. :)
The second is that I think that perhaps I have been left back at age 16 when it comes to my feelings...what I mean is this...back at age 16, my parents split up. Now to spare you all the gory details, my poor little 16 year old heart was broken & I put my tears & my feelings on hold because I didn't want anyone to know how much I hurt...(for whatever reason). Now, I find myself in little conflicts, after 9 years of learning to use my tears and feelings again...and from the smallest of conflicts, to more of a major one I respond the same. I don't know how to properly manage or gage my emotions to specific situations, perhaps much like a 16 year old. I think this is a huge revelation in my life, because I strongly believe that once you understand a problem, you can more accurately fix it. I'm on my way to recovery from a self inflicted wound! :) YEAH!
So a lot of my friends are starting the phase of their lives when they start to have babies. Whooooa! Its kinda crazy, but expected...lots of baby showers upcoming I can tell.
So Troy & I have been looking around for a condo for him to buy. He has to move September 1 because both his room-mates want to find their own places, so that forces my boy to do the same. He's considering buying instead of renting, and the process (for me) is fairly fun. :)
Stampede week! Mini Donuts & corn dogs for me tomorrow! Its the night for us to take in the Stampede and I'm very excited! I hope both of us can stay out until after the fireworks...(I've been so tired on Friday nights that I fall asleep at like 8pm!)
Anyway, if anyone's still reading this...enjoy. Have a good one, and send up a prayer for the Daumler Family in Africa.

1234
Its 12:34pm make a wish.
Tomorrow I'm going to Saskatchewan! :) That's funny! I don't know why Saskatchewan has such a reputation for being such a boring...dumb place to go to. Perhaps I'll learn this weekend and have something to share next week. In case any one was wondering, the CTV show Corner Gas will not allow anyone to be an extra on the show unless you live (pay your taxes) in Saskatchewan. No matter how hard I try, I can't think of any way to pay my taxes in Saskatchewan without actually having to go there more than once...I really want to be an extra in one of tv's most awesome show...but I don't think its going to happen. Who knows what can happen in Saskatchewan though...I'll let you know next week.
New developments this week: New Tires on my car...new voicemail/phone system at work...new development in the Snack Box scandal (that information will remain conversation only...you never know who reads these things)...got my Music Exam back and found my mistake was in Intervals....oops...(I got 99% in case you'd forgotten)...that's about it.
I'm planning on having lobster for dinner! MMMMmmmmm...my Mom and I won a gift certificate to the fish market back in February which expires after today, so I'll go get me some red creepy crawlers after work....I can't wait!
That's all that's going on in my world...uneventful. My emotions have been a rollercoaster lately with the marriage breakup of my mentor & good friend, my work difficulties, the Daumlers leaving.....SPEAKING of which, Tom called me a week Friday. They are all well and Faith is doing much better and now is healthy. Thank you to all who prayed.
Needless to say, I've been an emotional basket case...hopefully a good dose of Saskatchewan will put all things in perspective for me. Have a great Canada Day/Independance day long weekend!
God Bless,
**please take a moment to offer a prayer up for Tom & Lise Daumler and their 4 girls...they are missionaries in Africa and enjoying a break in the capitol city. Thank you.

Confession
I just wanted to write to tell everyone how much I love my boyfriend. He's amazing....he brings me flowers, and chocolate...takes me on thoughtful dates...he makes plans for us whenever I'm complacent and wish I didn't have to make the decisions. He puts up with me despite that I'm over emotional & occasionally...(or often) high maintenance. He tells me he loves me a dozen or more times a day...and always offers to do things for me. He's fantastic, and I love him to bits.

Choose You This Day
Have you ever had an experience in life that made you question everything you believed up until that point? Have you ever had to put your entire life through a strainer and find out what was truth & what was not...(not that you'll ever find out). I've had now 2 of those situations. The most recently, started Sunday and completely rocked my world. I'm not sure exactly how to respond to it, or understand it. I don't know how to reconsile the one hand with the other. I understand this blog will likely not make too much sense to most...but blogs are for rambling...and I think that's what I need to do with this situation...ramble through it. Knowing what to do...what to say...what to think...in a situation like this, is so hard...and I'm no expert. I'll try to use the past however, as a guide to help me get through this one...
The other day I was reading II Kings 1. The story was about a King who was very sick and so sent some of his servants to seek of the god Baal to find out whether or not he would be healed. On his way, God sent a prophet to intercept the servants to tell them that because this King saught answers from another god, that he surely would die. I started to wonder...why, after knowing the supreme power of Almighty God, would one seek the counsel of other "gods". As I let my mind wander & tried to understand the thought process of this King, I thought...perhaps he wanted to know an answer right away. Perhaps he wanted something "tangible" a word from someone...saying yes or no. Perhaps he know because of his power & status he would likely have someone respond with a "you will surely live" for fear of the consequences of another answer. But God intercepted him...and what I learned about that...what God whispered in my ear that night, was that no matter how big...or small the questions, He wanted me to go to Him. I know this is a fundimental of the Christian faith, but how many Christians actually live by this truth and take all....every single question...first to their Father God? God told me once again that I need to do that...and I imagine...that that truth, will be my rock in the midst of a shaken & unstable world.

Something's Burning In The Kitchen!
Today has not really started off on the right foot. When I first got into the office, the phone was ringing off the hook. Now I got here about 10 minutes before opening, so....listen to the message, and call back after 9am. Nope...this individual called back I'd say....10 times in a ROW. So for 10 minutes, the phone was ringing, however I decided to be as stubborn as this individual on the phone and not answer until 9am. When I finally answered, annoyed like crazy, a lady on the other line told me she had sewage in her basement and had the firemen there. I helped her accordingly. Then I decided to put my Quaker oatmeal bar in the microwave (you're supposed to). You are supposed to put it in for 10 seconds...but I wasn't thinking and turned on the microwave (its on one of those dials, so you turn the dial to how long you want to keep it in there...)(I turned it to 5 minutes). The next thing I know, I'm talking to Lori and she shrieks "SOMETHING's BURNING IN THE KITCHEN!" and indeed...smoke was billowing out of the microwave. Brilliant Friesen. Now it smells HORRIBLE in here...blaght!
Last night we got Swiss Chalet Takeout...it was SO yummy. I want to have that for dinner again today! :) Today we are going shopping for Troy's nearly 2 year old niece. How fun! I love shopping for kids!
That's all from me to this point. Have a great day, I hope its not rainy somewhere in the world today....Please take a minute right now to pray for the Daumler Family in Africa. Tom, Lise, Maggie, Ainsley, Faith & Naomi. Thank you.
God Bless,

It Smells Like the Cottage
Apparently scent is the strongest link to memory...this morning my office smells like the cottage. When I was a kid, I used to spend a lot of my summer at the cottage. My Grandparents used to get up early, and make coffee...I always thought it smelled bad...but now...this morning I remember waking up at the cottage and that makes me happy.
Southern Alberta is supposed to get 90mm of rain today. Holy crap that's a lot of rain! Its unbelievable how much rain we have gotten so far this month! In Ontario...April SHOWERS bring May flowers. In Calgary, June showers FLOOD BASEMENTS!
My little Faith is doing much better, thank you for your prayers. Things in Africa are going great for them it sounds like. Right now they are beginning their ministry there and are going to be doing a "Feeding of the 5000" and feeding the entire community. Please pray for this event as many will see the white faces of those wanting to bring them Jesus. There is a new Orphan at the orphanage, she is 2 weeks old. Please pray for her health. Tom & Lise have informed us of a need at the Orphanage...and that is a water system that will bring running water into the buildings. Right now they only have a well which they have to pull water up with buckets from. They have said this system will cost between $1500 - $2500. If you are reading this and know of someone/something that can help, let me know.
Other than that...MY BOYFRIEND IS AMAZING. I love him to bits. :)
Chelsea and I are going for Sushi today for lunch, and I can't wait..Mmmmmm....sushi...
Ciao

Goin To The BIG Apple
So I'm goin on another trip to the Big Apple...its been decided...dates & times...not so much...but I'm going....WE'RE going (hopefully). I miss my Dad & Step Mom LOTS so...it'll be nice to spend some time with them...and my boy...
So I had to legally raise my right hand for the first time in my life today. No bible or anything...but I had to raise my right hand and swear an oath to the validity of Henry Friesen. (I sure hope Emma's reading this cause she will get a KICK out of it!) The long story is that Henry Friesen (no relation) is the next door neighbor to my office. He's some sort of undesignated counselor...I don't know...I think its weird, but whatever. Anyway, Henry came by yesterday wondering if I could witness his signature. He's going to be suing someone, and needed to sign this legal paperwork. Ok....done....easily enough. Or so I thought...he called me later wondering if I could come over to the registry to do the witnessing (again) because we did it wrong initially....so I did. (well today)... :) He said he's pay me for my time...(what's 15 minutes worth?) but no money was ever seen...hmmmm...
Please keep Faith, and the rest of the Daumler Family, (Tom, Lise, Maggie, Ainsley & Naomi) in prayer. No updates as of yet.
Anyway, I'm out...maybe I'll think of something else later on.

Please Pray
Please pray for Faith. Faith is 7 years old and is my sister. She's one of 4 girls belonging to Tom & Lise Daumler...(my Calgary family). They moved to Africa May 8th following the call of God to go and love orphans...and run an oprhanage in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Faith has come down with Malaria, and her sister Maggie (10) is feeling ill as well. Please pray for them...
In other news, I got 99% on my music theory exam. First Class Honors with Distinction.

All for $90
So our building (where I work) was broken into today for the 2nd time this week. The first time, they broke into the Tanning Salon & stole $40, and the Yoga Place and got $50. This time, same story…however this time, they broke through the wall to get in. If you were going to rob a place, and only got $90 the first time, why would you go back? That’s not a whole lot of money! Go somewhere you can get more than that! Seriously!
So my RAGE got me a free coffee today. J By RAGE I mostly mean we were waiting on our printer cartridge supplier to come pick up cartridges (used ones) for 2 weeks. My receptionist had called 5 times, to no avail, so I called….and was promised a pick up. No luck. So I called again. The owner of the business came in today with a peace offering for everyone. Now I’m at peace. J You get much further with people when you are nice to them…(so obviously by RAGE I mean, persistence…not anger) So Free Coffee.
I feel much more rested today, I slept last night…but I’m surprised I got up in time for work today, because I shut my alarm off and went back to bed. OOPS! J
I think its Kerey Smith’s birthday today! He’s having a party tonight & Troy & I were responsible for bringing along some games to play…we are ready with some pass the pigs, blackjack & Croquet. That should be enough, and certainly fun!
Anyway, have a great day!

Old Friends
I received an email today from an old friend. Martin was an Instructor and worked on Staff while I attended Tauernhof in July - December of 1999. He was from Austria, and a quiet yet wise man. I remember the way Martin pounced from rock to rock when scrambling was something to watch...his feet seemed so sure...and he never wavered or was uncertain. At one point I commented on this...and his response to me was "Shara, I don't have confidence in my own feet...I have confidence in Jesus, and because of that, my feet are secure." Whether or not Martin ever fell, I have no idea, however that comment has stuck with me for 6 years. I'll never forget Martin's sure feet...and I'll never forget the source of his sure feet.
Anyway, I received an email from him today! He told me they have shortened the Upward Bound program to 4 weeks (from 6) and are looking for more students. So if you're interested, it'll likely be the best experience of your life. I'd recommend it beyond anything.

Chelsea, Martin said to say hello to you! :)
Anyway, back to the ol' grind. Happy June 8th to all.

**P.S. Its camp day today, so if you live anywhere near a Tim Hortons, go and get a coffee, all the proceeds go towards Kids camp. Do it for the kids. Ciao!

Sleepless in Calgary
It is now 4:05am and I am so extremely tired. I haven't been able to sleep tonight but have managed to stay in bed until now. Perhaps if I get up and move around maybe even have a shower it will help me to sleep for a few hours before I have to get up again. Maybe I'll play some Corner Gas!
I hear a bird singing outside...I wonder if that means its stopped raining...several parts of Southern Alberta have been evacuated because of all the rain...I"m still dry so far in my little apartment, but the singing of birds was a good sign in Noah's time, and I'm pretty sure ours as well.
Have a great day all. Look for the rainbow!

Corn Chips & Earl Grey Tea
Ok, I've now done the combination of Earl Grey Tea & Corn Chips...and now no one else has to try it, cause its gross! I've also tried the Perogie/Whip Cream combination and its great...so give it a try. I love that. Also...Ritz crackers, cheese whiz & oysters...also a yummy combination...(make sure you heat up the Oysters and don't look at them). I don't want any comments on this site about oysters either, from those of you who won't be named...keep your comments to yourself. :)
Its flooding outside like crazy. I wish I had a raft or a canoe or something cause I'm sure I could find some overflowing puddle to have fun in! And then maybe if it were to flood in my basement suite I'd have somewhere dry to hang out.
So the weekend Birthday events were super great. You already likely read about my lobster extravaganza, Saturday evening we (T&I) met some friends for some Bubble Tea & Wings at Bubble Mania. From there we checked out the Casino where I was a BIG winner, and doubled my money! I didn't start out with a whole lot mind you, but I came out with double what I started with. (that was from playing Blackjack!) Troy also won a little bit of money too. Isn't it great when the Casino doesn't win? Following the Casino fun, we headed to Duckys for some Karokee...now I've discovered that I don't really like to sing Karokee...but would much rather watch others. Chelsea for example, was born to sing Karokee. She honestly should be a professional cause she's so good at it. Give her Rap, R&B, Rock, Country, she can do it all...and well. Especially the rap. Anyway, I did make a fool of myself, along with a few others...and called it a night. Sunday Troy & I met at the Lido for breakfast! That's my favorite! Mmmm...the rest of the day Troy spent at church and I spent doing chores...laundry etc...getting ready for our day trip. Monday was a water park event! There weren't too many slides open, however that definitely did not diminish the quality of our day! We had so much fun playing in the wave pool and relaxing in the hot tub & racing down the slides. It was a day to remember...but we didn't even take one picture! :) We also did some shopping and stuff while we were there...had a breakfast buffet etc....it was a great day. Fantastic.
Tonight some more of my favorite people get to meet the boy in my life. love introducing people to this great man! I think both Lisa &Catherine will love him.
Well I better get back to work, my lunch hour is nearly over! Have a great day!
Happy Belated Birthday Carrie Penner! Welcome to 25! Our insurance goes down! YEAH!

Budders Always Pay
I have something noteworthy to write about today, besides my birthday surprises, so I'll start with that. This morning I left the house early because I had nothing left to do there and I wanted to make sure I got some coffee before starting my work day. Despite the long line-up, I waited. 9 cars in front of me...that's manageable. So I'm sitting in my car, enjoying my music, and a Jimmy drives up beside me and cuts in front of me, and 3 other cars on the other side of the drive through(also in front of me) and takes the Black Honda CRV's spot in line. I sat there and my mouth dropped open...and I sat in shock...eventually my eyes made their way to the lady in the Black CRV and both of us raised our arms in confusion...what on earth was he thinking? I sat in line...fuming...budding in my mind is NOT acceptable. So I devised a plan. I would follow him as he drove away (besides I was early for work anyway) and then I'd call the police and tell them there was an erratic drive in front of me, swerving all over the road and I thought he might be intoxicated. The police would come find him, and pull him over...and that would show him for budding! Then I thought that would be a horrible thing to do...what if I made him late for wherever he was going to... (that's my practical, not so mean side) I decided he should have thought about that before budding in line in front of us. So the plan was set...as I drove up to the window to pick up my order, I followed his vehicle with my eyes...not to let it out of my site...and the Tim Hortons drive through lady told me the man in DEV371 had paid $2 towards my breakfast for cutting me off....he felt bad...oopsie...
All my plans fell through the crack....(likely a good thing)...no erratic driver no phone call to police...and $2 off my breakfast. Hmmm...I kinda feel bad for all the planning and scheming and less than uplifting thoughts I had about that man... but...I guess Budders always pay...or else they should!
So my birthday was fantastic...well not the work part of it...that was quite horrible as I had my first experience with having one of my staff getting fired...and having to deal with that. It was definitely a day of learning, but not something I'd like to learn again soon.
Troy picked me up close to 6pm with a few of my favorite things in tow..."pink" roses, a "milka" chocolate bar...and my cute boy. We drove to Red Lobster where we waited in line for quite some time...(but had fun doing it with games & such)...and then on with the feast. I had my yummy lobster...(my mouth is watering thinking about it)...crab legs and shrimp...it was a feast. It was fun to rip and pry my way through my meal, and I think my man may even like lobster a tiny little bit. After we gourged ourselves...(OH I forgot what my present was!) He created this picture frame back & front picture of us...I can't really explain it, but its super cute, and then he gave me a certificate which he made, for 1 full day, all expenses paid, a trip to West Ed Mall...water park and whever else my little heart desires on Monday. (He took the day off!) So I will look forward to that.
On our way home, we stopped at Blockbuster to get movies and rented some "CSI" another of my favorite things. We watched a couple episodes and..the night ended...
It was a great birthday.
Ending note....I'm not a mean spirited person. I may have evil thoughts...but I've never followed through on them...I mostly thought the calling the police story would be a good story for later...and having lived with myself for 25 years so far, I don't imagine I would have followed through on my plan anyway...I don't even think I have mean thoughts...I'm MOSTLY nice...I think...sorry DEV371. (that's his license plate....I memorized it. :)
Have a super day, Happy Birthday Michael Dick.

I Tried to Win A Bike Today
I was at this work meeting downtown which I had to battle the rain for...but anyway they were giving away a free bicycle! I was certain I'd win...I even prayed that I would...but nope. (I only prayed cause once Chelsea prayed and won a TV) (maybe God figured I was using Him)...anyway...no bike.
So Troy's got me excited...he's planned some kinda surprise for this weekend to celebrate me turning a quarter of a century. I'm super excited! Plus, I get to eat LOBSTER which is my favorite thing ever. I think I had a dream about it last night now that I think about it...
Time is standing still right now...it seems like I am moving....but the clock is not.....AGGGGGRRRHHHH. (what does that word sound like?)
I'm off,
